She heard voices speaking indistinctly above her head. One thing was for sure, she was dead. There was no way in hell she'd survived what Ivan did to her.

Relief washed over her as she thought of never seeing Ivan again. Perhaps now that she was dead she could haunt him or something.  Fuck! If only that shit worked.

But hold on, if she was dead, why and how could she still hear her thoughts? Was it like a dead person kinda thing?

She felt her hand being lifted and clasped in another's. Hmm. She definitely knew for sure now that she was dead, but what she did not get was how in fuck she was in heaven. Fuck! Even her own thoughts were not appropriate for whatever heaven is supposed to be like.

You did great.

A voice ricocheted in her head. That voice, that fucking voice. She knew it, she was drawn to it.

You did very good baby.

An angel's kiss landed on her forehead. It made her melt inside, comforting and making her all fuzzy. Perhaps it was her mom. It had to have been, only, her mother's voice had grown increasingly deep in the many years that had passed. She clutched the hand that held hers.

Everything started becoming less disoriented. She could hear clearer. Even the beeping sounds around her were clear. Wait a second! Where was she?

Her eyes flew open and her breath picked up as a panic surfaced.

"Hey, hey, hey. It's okay. You're okay." Bruno's voice said, his hand gently pushing her hair back and he pecked her brow. Her chest was rising and falling too rapidly but she calmed down when she realized it was just Bruno.

"Am I dead?" She managed to ask and he smiled softly at her.

"No baby. Not at all." He reassured her.

"Ivan.." She recalled Ivan drowning her in the tub.

"Do not worry about anything. You did great. You stuck to your words. You're okay."

Bianca truly thought that was her end. She saw her life flash before her eyes as ivan  strangled her in the water. That was the scariest point of her life but also the most relieving one because she thought she would be rid of ivan for good.

She took in her surroundings, she was not in the hospital, but at Bruno's place. She was however dressed in those God awful hospital gowns.

"How long have I been out?" She asked him.

"Just a day." He told her, "are you feeling okay? Any pains at all?"

"No. Not really." She told him shaking her head.
