The next day when she woke it felt like everything that transpired the night before was a terrible nightmare and nothing else.
But that was not the case, it was her reality. She was in different clothing, although it was not safe to call the lingerie she was in clothing, it was just a different one.
Along with the terrible migraine she had, she had her memories back. Memories of everything. The truth about her parents, the truth behind all of it. She was the one who was initially betrothed to Bruno. It had always been Bruno for her.
She remembered her brother, Kyle who went by Nicholas now. She was broken and hated herself for not recognizing her own brother despite being in his presence on occasions more than a lot.
She was basically always around her brother, but she did not know. How could she have not recognized him?
The pain of it was Nicholas tried to communicate it once, when he mentioned having a sister called Bianca. Still, she could not recognize him then.
The question arose, of whether Ivan recognized her or not because the truth was, Bianca was her mother's doppelgänger.
If Ivan knew Bianca's mother, it went without saying, he knew who Bianca was. But why would he keep it silent? why not torment Bianca for being the treacherous daughter of his enemy.
But what if the reality was that whatever abuse he subjected Bianca to was merely done to punish Bianca because he already knew who Bianca was.
He knew who Bianca was the second she entered that boardroom months ago. He knew he was marrying the woman who was originally betrothed to his son in order to pay off a debt, he knew it all.

One thing she was uncertain of was if Bruno and Nicholas were aware of these facts because Nicholas was sold to Ivan before all this marriage alliance was concluded.
She wondered if Bruno knew. If Ivan knew who Biaca was, then Karina was in danger too. ALL of this was just a big mess.
Tears escaped her eyes, but it was hard to pinpoint the actual cause of her tears. Perhaps it was the fact that the people that she trained to be an assassin in order to avenge were not even worth it, if anything they deserved the fate Ivan gave them.
What sort of parents sell their son to a mobster and even engage their daughter to the son of the same mobster? They were monsters but the only thing Bianca hated was her inability to resurrect them and kill them both again but in a lesser merciful manner as compared to Ivan's.
