In front of me is a two story cream house with a grey roof and grey shutters, My best friend's, Amy Bayer, house, and the house I would be staying in for the next month at the most.

I pulled my miniature black colored car into Amy's drive way and switched the ignition off before climbing out and grabbing one of my three suit cases and my brief case before making my way to the front door of the house.

Taking a small breath a barely even knocked twice when the door whipped open to reveal a woman with dirty blond hair in a bun and brownish, amberish eyes with pretty features. Dressed in stretchy shorts and a spaghetti strap tank top. Amy. My best friend.

Amy's eyes widened when she saw me before letting out a squeal that made me flinch before hugging me tightly.

"You made it! I thought you were gonna cancel coming here for some meeting in Paris or Japan or Hawaii at the last minute!" Amy said releasing me and sending a small glare.

I sighed. I had done that four times to Amy because they were major meetings that would effect my company, I would almost be to Amy's until I get a call about a very important meeting and have to turn around canceling my plans.

"Not this time, this time I'm here to stay for my friend until summers over." I said smiling at Amy.

Amy just narrowed her eyes not sure wether to trust what I said or just assume I was lying.

"We'll see." She murmured looking at me suspiciously, causing me to roll my eyes.

"Can I come in or do I have to leave for a meeting?" I said teasingly.

Amy's eyes widened before she yanked me inside with my bags clanking behind me.

"No!no. Come in! Come in, sorry, let me take your bags." Amy said quickly once I was inside her home.

"Thanks ill head back to my car and get the rest of my luggage." I said about to head out the open door.

"No. Let Cam get it. He's been on his lazy butt all week!" Amy said before yelling.

"Cameron! Get your butt out here and come say hi to your aunt!"

I heard shuffling upstairs before feet pounded down the steps revealing a boy with short honey colored hair and Amber eyes he got from his mother and a slim build and sharp features from his father. Cameron. Otherwise known as Cam. Amy's son and my nephew.

I held back a frown when I saw bags under both of their eyes but mostly Cam's and saw that they had lost weight and their shoulders were slumped slightly from stress. The divorce is still taking its toll.

"Hi Aunt Nor." Cam said using his nickname for me once he reached the bottom step.

"Hi munchkin." I said grinning, knowing he hated me calling him that.

Cam scowled at me as he came to give me a hug.

"You know I hate that nick name Aunt Nor." Cam said his voice full of annoyance mixed with a whine. I smiled happy that Cam and his mom hadn't changed much and were trying to be upbeat.

"Makes things interesting."I said hugging him back before messing up his hair causing him to scowl at me again.

"Cam can you get your Aunt's suitcases from the back of her car and bring them to the guest room?" Amy called making her way down the stairs from putting my suit case and brief case in the guest room while me and Cam were greeting each other.

Cam let out a groan before making his way to the door while I chuckled.

I have a feeling I'm going to be busy this summer.

A sigh left my lips as I walked into the guest room I always stayed in, when I was here in Amy's house.

It's a small room with navy blue walls and white curtains. The doors to the room's bathroom and closet are white and so is the small vanity that sits a few feet away from the bathroom door.

There's a dark wooded desk that sits in front of the glass window and a dark wooded dresser in a corner.

Then there's the bed that's made up of dark wood and has navy blue sheets with a white comforter decorated in blue flowers while white and dark blue pillows sit on top.

Last but not least my suitcases and brief case sat at the foot of the bed.

I kick off my shoes and stretch my arms a bit before going to the bed and falling on it.

Amy had made dinner while we talked for a bit downstairs but once we all sat at the dinner table the room became tense and the air was thick.

When I had tried to make conversation I would sometimes catch Amy looking at the head of the tables chair. The one her ex husband used to sit in, when they ate dinner or her looking over there as if to say something but the words would die in her throat. And Cam was not any better, he just stared at his plate gloomily and didn't look me and Amy in the eye when we talked to him and he would only give us head nod answers.

I had finally got sick and angry of the atmosphere and silently vowing to kill Amy's ex husband before I moved from my seat and sat at the head of the table.

The table had went quite for a few moments and I just ignored it and continued eating my dinner, before the atmosphere had gradually began to lighten to a more happy mood.

I ran a hand through my hair as I think about what happened after dinner.

I push my empty plate away, my stomach full of food and sated and I really wanted to go to bed. But before I could excuse myself, Amy picked up a packet and a pen from a small stand behind her and said.

" Nor, the lawyer sent this to me today and called me saying that I may have a opportunity to sue my ex husband but I need to have a witness other than me too sign and since your family and you were there. Could you sign as my witness for me?" Her face was serious as the last sentence left her lips.

My eyes narrowed in suspicion. Amy loved, loves her husband too much to even think of doing that, even if he is a bastard. And she is financially fine, otherwise if she wasn't she knows I wouldn't mind helping her out, I have lots of money on my hands I don't know what to do with besides giving it too charities, so what would she gain?

I didn't notice the small worried glances Cam was giving me as Amy started to register that I didn't believe her.

Amy's eyes waters and her body trembles as she cries.

"You don't believe me! you don't believe that this will help me move on! " She starts wailing and says she'll just find a better person before I cut her off.

"I'll sign it!" I yelled and was about to read it when Amy lets out another cry.

"You don't believe it's from from the lawyer!!" She wails while stuttering.

I feel my anger rise from its sleep and rustled to keep it chained inside as I just ignored what the pages said as I flipped through them and found the place where I was supposed to sign under Amy's name. I signed hurriedly and angrily.

"There!" I yelled angrily, throwing the packet in her face.

Her tears stop flowing and she mutters thank you, thank you over and over again.

I kept breathing through my nose as I tried too make my anger slumber once more before giving her a nod.

After that Amy said she needed to go get the mail leaving Cam and me alone too clean the dishes before I decided to retire too bed.

I sighed again and got of the guest room bed and started to unpack my suitcases.

Something tells me I made a huge mistake signing that paper.
