Chapter 10: Suspicious Things.

This was my first day attending the Academy of Magic, I could feel my heart pounding with excitement and fear during the classes.

According to Ruby Winters, there are five types of classes where you could attend. The five types of classes were class A, class B, class C, class D, and class E . These classes are ranked from highest to lowest so the professors would know where those students need to work and improve on. According to myth, class A students had access to magic abilities such as time stopping and time traveling while class E students could only know how to sit and goof around in class.

In order to get into those classes, you had to run through experiments and testing such as your magic skills. When I arrived at the academy last night, I remembered how Ruby Winters guided me through the experiments from one and another. Since my magic skills are average, I was eventually sent to class C and what I didn't know I had to end up with Boris and Caytlin. This is where I had to stay extremely cautious of my surroundings and my classmates since I haven't determined if they are trusted or not.

While Boris tries to make friends with me, maybe Boris has become a changed man who knows how to be friendly towards other kids. But on the other hand, Caytlin almost found out my true identity because of my looks. That was a close call you know, luckily I was able to stay low profile and hide my true identity by making up unrealistic stories.

Way back then I would remember how mean boys made friends with new kids so they would bully their victim without mercy, just like what the bible says," The greater the merrier."

Sometimes you should not look at a book by its covers, sometimes bullies are great at hiding their secrets from adults. In order to hide their secret and gain the teachers trust, kids would often get higher scores in their exams so they would become the teachers pet. This leads the teachers to think those kids are kind and harmless. Way back then in my past world, these events always occurred almost every day in my past school life. A great example of this scenario would be the time when Caytlin slandered me for stealing the cane by using Boris' identity.

Just when I was about to mind my own business, I could feel something was catching my attention. It's the girl who had her uniform soaked up, I noticed she was hiding her suspicion away from me. Throughout my further observations, while I asked her about how she got her school uniform soaked up. It seems like she was hiding something away from me, I could see her eyes fixing away from me while I approached her.

I knew something was wrong, normally when someone ended up doing some sort of thing by accident. They would confront us with a confident and loyal tone, but since the girl mutters in fear. Ah-ha, now I had figured out the exact moment where she hid something away from me.

Now I really had to stay cautious about the students in this classroom, or maybe including as well as the teachers too.

While I was about to think deeply about this topic, suddenly Boris had his eyes looked at me and whispered," Alex my mate, what's wrong. It seems you got some nerves bothering you, is there anything you wanna talk to me about?"

"BORIS! NO TALKING IN CLASS!" The teacher in a heavy dark blue robe and a lightweight blue pointed hat snapped, then he locked his eyes on me and snapped with suspicion," Young man, what is your friend asking you about?"

I could hear the laughter coming out from the wall of my eyes,but in order to stay low profile. I explained like an expert," Since I was worried about something might go wrong on my first day of school, my new friend Boris was worried about me. So he asked me if I wanted to have a chat with him after school."

The teacher started to let his guard down and replaced it with a smile," Boris, that's so kind of you."

"Indeed~" Boris smirks in front of the class like a nice man," It is my duty to guide and help new students, especially our new classmate Alex."

"Alright let's get back to class," the teacher smiles as he picks up a white chalk as he spells his name onto the gusty black board," My name is Zane Von Stein, you can call me Mr. Stein."

As class went on, I had my eyes fixed on Caitlyn with suspicion while she was talking to Ruby Winters. I could see the girls talk and laugh during the whole session. What are they talking about, is it something about class or something about me?

Just when I was about to pull out my magical invisible AirPods that the last time I used was 2 years ago, Mr.Stein pointed at me and snapped," excuse me young man, what on earth are you holding in your hands?"

But all of a sudden, I could feel the walls of eyes had their eyes fixed on me with suspicion covering their faces. Just when I thought I was about to get kicked out of class, I suddenly figured out a quick idea that may help. While I could see the wall of eyes laughing and smiling, maybe a little lie could probably help. I pulled out the magical earbuds and explained seriously," The reason why I was fidgeting around with this object is because I had hearing problems since my right ear is damaged. So in order to hear your lessons better, I didn't have enough choice but to put those magical earbuds on my right ear so I can hear butter like everyone does."

Now I was totally doomed, I could sense the suspicion covering Mr.Steins face more rapidly. Did he catch me lying, did he find out my true identity? Suddenly, Mr.Stein spoke with a serious expression on his face," Young man, you know a honest kid would not lie, don't you?"

The whole class was silent, I could feel the walls of eyes stare at me with suspicion and curiosity. I could feel the humiliation and disgrace filling my mind, I must do something in order to stay low profile. I could also sense the presence Caytlin had, her eyes darted at me, then I looked at Mr.Stein once more again and explained," You might wanna have a private conversation with me after class......"

Suddenly Mr.Stein pulls out a wooden stick that was made out of birch wood and aims at my ear buds, then the ear buds float towards Mr.Stein. Mr.Stein smirks," young man, I'll have you ear buds confiscated on your first day of class. You'll be staying here after class ends."

Now I am totally humiliated in front of the whole class, I could feel the walls of eyes laughing with despair and pain. While Boris was looking at me with a pair of worried eyes, Caytlin was laughing at me sarcastically. While I was about to snap in class, Mr.Stein snapped," Silence everyone, now let's get back to class."

While I made some observations, I noticed that most of the class laughed at me after I got my earbuds confiscated. But except there are two particular people who did not laugh at me, the first one is obviously Boris. Now I started to think Boris might be a changed man after all since he did not laugh and mock me, this had proven that I should let my guard down when I interact with Boris.

The second person who did not laugh at me was the girl who got her dress soaked up in the first thing in the morning. Now this theory must be interesting to think of because she did not show any emotions at all while I was interacting with her. According to my experiences in my old world, when someone gets bullied like me. I just wouldn't laugh at them because I've seen them suffer just like the time I did. This might also prove that this whole class might be hiding something away from me.

Anyway, the most important thing I had to care about was to stay low profile and to hide my secret identity. But somehow, I also had a theory that my identity has leaked, as you see. Mr.Stein had caught me using those magical earbuds so I could hear and listen to Caytlin's conversation with Ruby so I could stay highly alert and recorded it to my personal journal. Now I must find a way to confirm if Mr.Stein is trusted or not.
