Kian's POV:

I come home after spending the morning at a friends house hanging out to find Sam and Trevor watching Orange is the New Black on Netflix together.

Sam looks up when I walk through the archway into the family room, "Hey Kian, what's up?"

"Not much, just got home from Dan's." I say sipping on the soda that had come with my meal at Taco Bell.

"Cool, wanna watch the show with us?" He says, gesturing to the TV in front him and Trevor.

"Nah, I'm good. Where is Jc and Jessie?" I ask, wondering where the twins are, probably filming.

"I think Jc went to meet up with Lia, I'm not sure where Jessie is." Trevor answers, finally speaking to me.

"Okay, talk to you guys later." I say, before climbing the stair in search of the female Caylen.

When I reach the top I go straight to my room. I find her on my bed, reading a book. She looks up when I knock on the door. "Oh hey Kian, I can leave if you want your room. I'll go sit in JC's or go downstairs." She says, getting up.

"Nah, it's fine Jessie, just was wondering if you would want to go penny boarding with me. I hate going by myself and everyone else is busy." I say, scratching the back of my now itching neck. I smile at her, hoping she will agree to come along. If she really is JC's sister, I want to get to know her better.

"I don't know how to penny board, but I will go with you. I would love to see more of the city." She says, placing her copy of Wurthering Heights down.

"Awesome, let's go if your ready." I say, walking further into my room and to my closet. I grab one of my extra penny boards and turn to Jessie. She is standing up and swaying on her heels with her hands shoved in the back pockets of my jeans. I almost forgot she is wearing me and Andrea's clothes.

"Ready." She says, uncomfortable with me looking at her.

She grabs her purse and follows me downstairs. I open the door for her and get into the driver's side of my car.

I start the car and drive to the park where I frequent often to skate. We get out and I grab the two penny boards, handing her one.

"I don't know how to ride this Kian." She says, blushing.

"I'm going to teach you then." I say, placing mine down on the ground.

"Just do what I do." I instruct her. I step on my board and let the rest come naturally.

I look back and Jessie is just standing there with the board at her feet. "C'mon Jessie, it's easy."

"Maybe for you, but I don't like falling on my ass in public." She says, crossing her arms.

I get off my board and walk to her, "I won't let you fall down." I roll my eyes, finding it comical that she thinks i would let her get hurt. JC would have my nuts if I hurt his twin.

"Why should I trust you?" She asks.

"Because, now all you do is stand on the board." I instruct. "C'mon, I'll help you stay steady."

She looks at me then at the board. She slowly places one foot on the board and she puts her arms out to balance herself.

I put my hands on her sides, steadying her. "Alright, you need to turn that foot sideways so you are facing right." She does as I say, still with her arms out.

"Alright put the other foot on." I say, making sure she doesn't fall.

I let go of her so she can see she is balancing by herself. The board starts to roll down the sloped sidewalk, "Kian! Stop it, the board is moving."

I laugh and watch her slowly roll down the sidewalk. She gets about five feet away when the tires hit a stick, but since she wasn't going very fast she comes to a stop. I step on my board and kick off, sailing past her. "Kian, don't leave me here. What do I do now?"

"Just watch me." I say and skate down the sidewalk at full speed.

She copies my movements and soon she is going a little faster and then a little faster and then finally average speed. She laughs when she passes me, I had stopped to let her catch up. Her brown hair whips behind her as she moves faster and faster.

I hurry to catch up with her and then we both sail together down the slope. "Ummm Kian, how do I stop?" She says, her smiling falling from her lips.

"Just put your foot down." I say, showing her by stopping myself.

She stops and turns to me, "That was actually pretty fun."

"I know." I say and jump on my board, taking off to the top of the hill. I hear Jessie behind me kicking to gain speed, she passes me and stops at the top of the hill. "I didn't realize this was a competition." I say, smiling at her.

"Me neither, but I will beat you to that tree." She laughs, taking off.

I decide to let her win, only by a little bit, but it's fun watching her smile and laugh. She celebrates a bit, rubbing it in my face that she won. I roll my eyes, but let her continue to brag.

"Alright, I'm done for today. Let's go home." I say, picking up my board.

She stops smiling and looks at me. "What's wrong Jessie?" I ask her, noticing her sudden change in emotions.

"I feel weird calling it home, I have never had a real home, just houses. Even the last house I lived in for four years wasn't really home." She says, looking down at her shoes.

"Hey Jessie, look at me. This is your home now, got it? You're always welcome." I say, trying to put her at ease after she just shared that little depressing thought with me.

"Thanks Kian." She says, a small smile in her lips. "It means a lot to me."
