Meeting His Friends

I step in and look around and house taking it all in. The house is kind of a mess but what would you expect in house with 6 boys living in it.

"Kian, Ricky! Come here! I want you guys to meet someone!" Jc calls leaning against the stairs.

I hear footsteps coming loudly down the stairs. Ricky, the boy from earlier ,and another boy, presumably Kian.

"Who's this?" Kian asks, looking me up and down. I feel even more self-conscious about my outfit. I curse myself for not wearing something cuter.

"This is my sister, Jessie." He says making a hand gesture as if revealing me. I smile, or at least try too.

Ricky says, "I knew
it! I thought you guys looked alike!"

I smile. Ricky is really nice for just meeting me. He makes me feel at home and not as awkward, unlike the skinny boy next to him.

Kian continues to stare at me, he doesn't say a word. Finally, he looks me in the eye. He looks deep into my eyes. I stare back into his brown eyes.

I feel a connection, something I have never felt before. He looks away quickly and says, "She can sleep in my room. I'll stay in Sam's room."

"Okay, are you sure Kian?" Jc asks. I look questioningly at Kian. He returns my look with a cold glare.

"Yeah, whatever." Kian says stalking up the stairs.

"What's up his ass?" I ask Jc and Ricky.

"I have no idea, he's probably just in a mood." Ricky says smiling at me.

"Alright." I say, feeling awkward. What should I do now?

"So, let me show you to Kian's room." Jc says, as he starts to walk up the stairs.

We walk up the stairs and I look down the hall. There are multiple doors shut except one where I can hear someone banging around. We walk up to the door and I see Kian grabbing clothes out of a couple drawers.

"Hey Kian, thanks for letting me stay in here." I say, smiling.

He just looks at me and mumbles, "Yeah sure."

He walks past us and down the hall into another room. Jc and I just look at each other. Wow, talk about rude.

"So I guess you're staying here tonight." Jc says, smiling at me.

"Yeah, I guess so. I'm really tired Jc, so I'm going to go to sleep if that's okay."

"Alright see ya in the morning... sis." He says the last part with a grin on his face.

I smile back at him and he walks away. I set my suitcase down, and stretch before climbing into bed. I roll over and put my face in the pillow. Wow, Kian's pillow smells amazing. I breathe a long deep breath in.

"I use axe shampoo." I hear Kian say from behind me. I blush, he heard me smelling his pillow.

I roll over, "Why don't you like me?" I've never been much for small talk.

"I didn't say I don't like you, don't assume things." He says looking into my eyes.

"You're right you didn't come right out and say it. It would have been less obvious if you had." I say, sitting up feeling defensive.

"Listen, if you're lying about being Jc's sister just because you want to be famous, we are going to have problems." Kian says.

"Two things. First of all, if I wanted to be famous I would have knocked on Channing Tatum's door and said he knocked my mom up on the set of Magic Mike and now he is my father, and second of all was that a threat? Did you threaten me?" I say raising my eyebrows challengingly.

Kian walks over and sits in the corner of his bed, "Listen, I am sorry Jessie. I just don't want you to hurt my best friend. It wouldn't be the first time someone used us for fame. We used to have a guy named Ricardo and he used us for fame." He says looking into my eyes.

"Okay, I get it. So why are you in here?"

"Forgot my boxers." He says with this adorable grin.

"Oh okay." I say laying back down. I roll over to face the wall.

I hear Kian open and shut a couple drawers before I hear his feet shuffle out of the room. He stops by the door. "Goodnight Jessie." Then he shuffles out. I smile. I like a guy who is able to apologize.

I slowly drift into deep sleep... a long needed deep sleep.
