A/N: Alright, I'm pretty sure Jia isn't a thing anymore but this takes place in the past, as you can see Connor is still part of Our2ndLife and well Our2ndLife is still Our2ndLife. Thank you all for reading.

I walk through the door of the house after a log walk home. I'm bursting with joy after finally getting my first legal job.

I used to sell drugs and myself for money, it's how I met my fiancé. He was my pimp, he took a liking to me and arranged for us to get married. I ended up, leaving that life back in Arizona. When I was in Oregon I continued to sell drugs, I was 'fired' due to the fact that I was using the drugs for myself instead of distributing them. I never have told anyone about that side of me and I don't plan to anytime soon. My only worry is it will come back to bite me in the ass.

"Why do you look like you're about to burst with joy?" Kian asks, shoving a cookie in his mouth.

"I just got my first le- I mean I just got a job." Shit, I almost slipped up.

He doesn't seem to notice my slip, just smiles with a mouth full of cookie and says, "Congrats."

"Thanks, where is JC?" I ask, wanting to tell my brother the news. I'm trying to build some sort of relationship with him and I truly want him part of my new life.

"In the family room with Lia, they're watching a movie I think." He says, using a cookie to point to the other room.

"Who is watching a movie?" JC asks coming in, a blonde following him.

"Kian was saying you two were." I tell
him observing the beautiful girl behind him.

She smiles at me and walks to me, "Hi, Jessie right? I've heard so much about you. I'm Lia, JC's girlfriend." She says, and then she pulls me into an unexpected hug.

I awkwardly hug her back and she thankfully releases her death grip on me. She moves back to JC's side and he wraps an arm around her waist. "It's nice to finally meet you Lia." I say, trying to be polite.

"Well, we were going to head to the beach. I'll see you all in a bit." JC says. The beach sounds like fun, I will have to explore it eventually.

"Have fun," Kian and I say at the same time.

The couple waves and leaves laughing with each other. "They're cute together." I say to Kian, sitting down at the bar.

"They are." He agrees, offering me a cookie. I accept with a smile. "Let's go watch some TV." Kian suggests.

"I'm down." I say hopping off the stool, my short legs don't reach anywhere near the ground.

He leads the way, cookies in hand. We sit on the couch and Kian kicks his feet up on the coffee table. He grabs the remote and hands it to me.

I scroll through channel after channel finding nothing but old reruns and TV movies I have no interest in. I finally find a marathon of Impractical Jokers and turn it on.

I grab a cookie and watch as Q is dared to catch someone in a net. Kian laughs when the old man throws the net into a fountain.

I look at the man next to me, his face is lit up by the TV. He shoves another cookie into his mouth. He looks down at me and catches me staring. I look away blushing. He puts his arm across the back of the couch behind me.

"Cookie?" He asks, offering the box of Chips Ahoy to me. I take two and mentally apologize to myself, I'm never going to lose that belly fat this way. Oh well.

This whole thing feels surreal, it's too perfect. My brother easily accepts me and so do his closest friends. Plus, his friends are all attractive and funny YouTube celebrities. This can't be possible; I don't deserve this, but I will take it. And now I have a legal job, if it was this is easy to get on the straight and narrow I would have done it years ago.
