IT WAS A GLOOMY AFTERNOON IN JERICHO, VERMONT. The same as it was when she first set foot on the Academy months before she unraveled dark secrets within the University and the people in charge. If it wasn't for her, god knows what the tragedy and havoc Joseph Crackstone will unleash to the innocent and the unfortunate.
Appeared wearing a black top with matching trench coat, matching slacks and Doc Martens, her hair braided in two with signature bangs that are neatly trimmed. A pale skinned seventeen year old Wednesday Addams entered the gates of Nevermore Academy, drawing a heavy sigh through her nose as her eyes looked up at the castle that still looked the same except there's no one living inside since classes haven't started yet until next month.
Initially Wednesday hated the school and finds it a waste of time but when she discovered about a monster silently murdering people in dark moonlight and hidden secrets from the University itself- it convinced her enough to stay until it was solved.
Now that it is over, she had left everything on the past behind but couldn't help herself to recall the pain she had felt and the thirst she had for shedding blood from enemies. Her being close to the brink of death is the nearest she can feel to be in a state of a satisfying euphoria.
So she decided to drop by to take a very quick trip down memory lane before going back to her routine with her family, trying on experiments to kill Pugsley (all for fun) and being in her own world where she can do whatever she pleases.
Before stepping inside, she feels a hand full of stiches crawling onto her shoulder named 'Thing'. Sighing in dismay over how her mother Morticia still managed to bring him over to look after Wednesday even though she specifically made it clear she wants to go on this quick trip alone, she turns to it and says "You couldn't say no, can you?".
Thing shook his hand in response.
Wednesday rolled her eyes, "You swear on your brother's grave that anything that happens on this day stays between us?".
Thing gave her a thumbs up which gave Wednesday a tiny piece of her mind.
She looked back at the gloomy skies and the Victorian castles that dawned upon her. "Someday I will burn this place down to the ground.". And with a final silent puff, Wednesday took the first steps inside of the front door and found herself walking through the school corridors.
Walking past through the hallways reminded her of the school tour done by someone she considered a 'friend' Enid Sinclair. She was the first people Wednesday befriended with and the only one she can trust after seeing how far Enid will go to protect Wednesday from harm and despite her coldness, Enid still perseveres to be a good friend to her.
She remembered how Enid would go into full detail about the school, the students who are a mixture of werewolves, vampires and other monsters that are not from the Hyde, fun activities, events, etc. Enid is a talkative, fun spirited and friendly girl to be around and even though Wednesday finds her annoying because of her lively personality and how she radiates color, she deeply enjoyed being in her company.
Other than that, the university has been awfully quiet- too quiet. She doesn't mind spending an entire lifetime of sheer silence and lonely solitude but something that was in the air of Nevermore Academy felt wrong. Usually someone would casually stroll by to check the security within the campus during both school and vacation season but strangely enough, no one dared to make an appearance. Not even a single person greeted Wednesday by the doorstep or have heard her walk.
Her blank and soulless eyes roamed around the main floor and all she could see is the pale light shining through the glass windows. The Victorian lights from the side of the walls and the dangling gold chandelier were all turned off. She couldn't even suspect a sound of footstep emerging from one of the rooms.
Something definitely feels off and Wednesday is starting to feel intrigued.
"Thing, you wouldn't mind breaking a few hands if we get caught. Don't you?".
Thing who rested on her left shoulder frantically waved his hand, demanding for a better explanation over what she said but all Wednesday did was nod.
"I'll take that as a yes".

"Stop being clingy". hissed Wednesday, searching for books at the library but Thing created a hand gesture mimicking a human, specifically poking fun at Wednesday's words as one of his silly banter. She silently rolled her eyes and let his charm brush off of her shoulder. "Do me a favor and scan through the books over there".
Wednesday pointed at a shelf on her right and Thing immediately hopped off of her shoulder to do what it is told, picking up books that could interest the girl with ebony pigtails. Once she made it to the main floor of the library, she began browsing through books opposite to where Thing was searching.
She intently looks through the book titles on the side, some are written in gold while others had no signage at all so she carefully pulled out one book from another to find out what the book title is and what it could be all about. Most of them are theses written by past alumni of Nevermore Academy while others are student newspapers, unfortunately none of them met with Wednesday's standards but that didn't stop her from scanning from one shelf to another.
Opposite to Wednesday, Thing randomly picked up a book and threw it on the floor like it was nobody's business. The sound of books crashing on the cement floor bothered Wednesday as she wanted the book search to be quiet and not cause any speculation IF there were people lurking around Nevermore Academy.
"Keep it down, will you?". Wednesday warned in a whispery tone.
Thing's fingers trembled, giving her a thumbs up before continuing to pick up books from a shelf and carefully place them down instead of dropping it.
"I'm trying to see if the school had any records of my mom or some of her works. I wanna know how profound her writing skills are because if it was, then maybe I might've inherited that from her".
She diligently continued to browse books from one shelf to another until a leather red journal slipped on the floor, coming from Thing's side as he is still picking up books and sliding them on the floor. The journal hit the sole of her shoe and it immediately caught her attention. The journal had a strap closure on the side and a feather as a bookmark hidden in the middle of the pages. Not knowing who it belongs to; she picked it up for her eyes to marvel around a notebook she has never seen during her months of staying in Nevermore.
"Thing, where did you find this?". She asked.
Thing pointed at the shelf to its right while on the verge to look for other books on his corner. Knowing the journal probably existed ages ago and the owner of the private document could possibly be dead, she slowly slid the strap out and opened the first page of the blood red journal. Curious to see what is written on the page where the feather bookmark is hidden, her eyes widened on the first words she sees from an old news clipping.
"Mysterious girl gone missing, held captive by a living myth".
