Echostorm glanced at the group of five cats around her.
"So there will be another five," Blazeecho murmured. Echostorm nodded and looked up at the tall ginger medicine cat.
"Why us?" Hollowthorn murmured to Snowsoar. The dazzeling white shecat with gray patches sighed and pressed her nose to his fur, closing her eyes. Echostorm sighed in envy as she watched her white and brown brother lap his mate's head gently.
"It'll be ok," Blazeecho murmured.
"Echostorm?" Bramblefur meowed softly. Echostorm looked over at the handsome brown tom to see him kneeding the ground nerviously. Echostorm licked Blazeecho on the shoulder kindly and padded over to the corner which Bramblefur sat.
"Did you really m-mean what you said before we t-t-touched the moonstone?" He stuttered. Echostorm felt her stomach lurge as she choked out the truth.
"Yes," she replied. She looked down at her small black paws nerviously. Bramblefur lifted her chin up with his tail, looking her directly into her cold blue almost white eyes. His green gentle once danced with love, sympathy, and excitement as he touched her nose. Echostorm purred and rubbed her cheek against his and rested her head on his neck.
"Does this mean we're mates now?" He asked michieviously.
"Yes," echostorm purred. He got to his paws and licked her cheek then looked over at the others.
"Should we get going?" The snow has seemed to stop." Bramblefur commented.
"Yes lets go. We can hunt once we get out," snowsoar sighed.
"Good because im starving!" Blazeecho purred.
"Me too!" Hollowthorn meowed, standing and lashing his tail wildy. Snowsoar let out a mrrow of amusment and licked his cheek gently.
"Lets go," echostorm sighed as she began padded out of the moonstone clearing into the tunnel out.
