Sivaangi stood frozen and her heart pounding in her chest as the words she had just blurted out hung in the air...

She was still facing away from the entrance afraid to turn around....and thats when she heard a voice... a voice that was strangely familiar...

Voice : Oh... Appdiya???

The voice was filled with a hint of amusement and continued...

Voice : u didn't like me or the idea of marriage??? I mean enna kalyanam panna pudikalaya??? Illa all together kalayanam mela interest illaya???

The tone was a playful one almost teasing and it caught Sivaangi off guard...

She spun around with her heart skipping a beat and stood stunned... her eyes widened in shock as she saw the groom standing before her...

The groom stood there with a small amused smile playing on his lips and his eyes twinkling with mischief...

Sivaangi's mouth fell open in disbelief and she blinked rapidly as if trying to clear her vision as if wondering she was seeing things...

Sivaangi : Ashwin...

Yes the groom was none other than our very own Ashwin....

He smiled at her very warmly and it made Sivaangi's heart flutter...

Ashwin : Enna aachu Sivaangi... Cat got ur tongue huh?

He asked snapping his fingers in front of her face to bring her back to reality and Sivaangi blinked again this time coming back to her senses...

Sivaangi : Ashwin.... neega enna pandringa inga....

She asked with her voice barely above a whisper while Ashwin grinned with his eyes sparkling with amusement as he looked at her...

She now seemed more like a confused child than the composed young woman she had tried to be earlier...

Ashwin : Well... I think I should be the one asking u the same thing...

He said crossing his arms casually while Sivaangi was still trying to process what was happening and her mind spinning with questions...

How could this be?

How could Ashwin be the groom?

All the while Ashwin watched her clearly enjoying her bewilderment... He leaned in slightly and lowering his voice as if sharing a secret...

Ashwin : So ur are yet to answer me.... ungalukku kalayanam panna interest illaya illa enna kalayanam panna interest illaya...

He asked in a husky voice with his tone still teasing but Sivaangi felt her heart skip another beat and her face growing even warmer...

She opened her mouth to respond but found that the words wouldn't come out... She was too flustered and too overwhelmed by the sudden turn of events...

Ashwin's grin widened as he watched her struggle to find her voice...

Ashwin : u know Sivaangi... u look really cute when u are all flustered like this...

He said with his voice still husky and the teasing edge giving way to something more genuine...

Sivaangi's eyes widened at the compliment and her heart did a little flip in her chest... She quickly averted her gaze as her cheeks burned with embarrassment...

Sivaangi : I... I didn't know it was u...

She managed to say with her voice small and shaky while Ashwin just laughed again clearly enjoying all her reactions...

Ashwin : Well... I am glad u didn't know... or I might have missed enjoying all ur reactions...

He said playfully while Sivaangi bit her lip with her heart still racing... She couldn't believe this was happening... Just moments ago she had been so determined to reject this whole idea...

She wanted to stand her ground and refuse the marriage... But now with Ashwin standing in front of her all her resolve seemed to be crumbling...

Ashwin who noticed the turmoil in her eyes took another step even closer to her and with his expression softening said

Ashwin : Hey... its okay to be surprised... I didn't mean to catch u off guard like this...

Sivaangi tried to steady her breathing taking in the sight of Ashwin who now seemed less like a prospective groom and more like the friend she had spent that beautiful afternoon with...

Sivaangi : Its just... I didn't expect this... I thought... I thought it was someone else...

She said with her voice trembling slightly while Ashwin's eyes held a hint of understanding and said...

Ashwin: Aiyyo Sivaangi... its okay... ithula enna irukku nu neega ippo panic aaguringa..... I can understand it Sivaangi... now u just calm down...

He said placing his hands on her shoulders while she glanced at his hands and back at his eyes and her cheeks started coloring up even more...

Just a small touch more of tender touch of his made her calm down immediately.... On seeing his effect on her Ashwin he felt very much elated but then hiding his cheeky grin asked playfully...

Ashwin : So what is ur answer... are u still in the idea of not wanting this marriage...

Sivaangi's eyes shot up to meet his and quickly lowered her gaze being shy at his question...
