⋆.ೃ࿔*:・reece (as carly) had an unamused expression on his face. he was watching siobhan (as charlotte) trudge down the corridor. she was appalled at the idea of working in the rooms.
agatha (as sorscha) had caught up to her to spark a conversation, "you know, this is my worst nightmare too. we are much alike."
she ended her sentence with a concur nod.siobhan wasn't sure how to reply. she hated small talk but she hadn't expected this either. "why are you speaking to me we are nothing the same agatha." her churlish tone didn't go unnoticed. the other woman didn't pry and simply slowed her walking pace, so siobhan would be ahead again.
they neared the toddler room. reece advanced and entered the room. the trio were met with a distressed charlotte (as winter). she was trying to do the kids' morning dance, alongside many more. she was singing 'wake up shake up here we go!' and desperately shaking her hips. of course, nobody could compare to the way winter did it.
siobhan's jaw fell agape. she instantly reared to run out the room but agatha shut the door on her. payback for her crudeness earlier.
charlotte spotted them and cried out, "oh hi, i really need you guys' help!" as she spoke, a child jumped on her back screaming winter's name. the kids loved him, which made her job more burdensome.
reece (carly) rushed towards her and lifted the child down. he turned to the remaining two. he raised an eyebrow at them. they ignored him.
siobhan (charlotte) went to sit down; away from the chaos. her peace was interrupted by a little girl. she toddled towards the blonde, tripping in the process. the girl's doe eyes shone up at her. she asked siobhan if she could do painting with her. obviously, she had no idea the woman wasn't charlotte. stated woman was the polar opposite to charlotte. a moment of silence lingered between the two before the woman spoke up
"um sure," she was curt in her response.the two strolled to the crafts table; reece had just set up the activity. they sat down. siobhan was crouching in the plastic chair, she felt ridiculous. she perched with her arms crossed tightly. she refused to paint with the children, she wouldn't be caught dead painting with a bunch of snotty, whiny young humans. the next hour was begrudging.
meanwhile, agatha (as sorscha) sat in the book corner, children sat at a two meter distance from her. upon her request of course. she was reading 'the magic faraway tree' by enid blyton, the second book specifically. agatha had read this growing up, therefore she could tolerate it enough to read with them. although every chapter came with longwinded explanations or facts about it. for example,
"listen juveniles, you must never be like them. they are insolent and indisciplined." the kids adored her.⋆.ೃ࿔*:・
ultimately, things weren't complete carnage. that was besides from siobhan knocking over a few juveniles and reece reporting her to marjorie each time. not to mention agatha ignoring the kids for the majority of the day.
