🍉Nozel and Fuegoleon: Friend headcanons

1. What was their first impression of each other, and how has it changed over time?

🍓They have known each other for so long that they never really had a first impression. They were close to each other as young kids and became more like rivals when they started training but they remained best friends.

2. Do they have a "theme song" or a specific song that reminds them of each other?

🍒"Better Than One" (by The Score) and "Soldier, Poet, and King" (by the Oh Hellos)

3. What's their favorite place to hang out together?

🍎 In the old ruins where they would train as kids. They enjoy reminiscing about their childhood before things got too hectic and drifted apart a bit.

4. Do they have any secret handshakes, gestures, or inside jokes?

🍉 They tend to joke about times they set things on fire or broke things when they were young. 

5. Who's the responsible one, and who's more likely to get them into trouble?

🍑 They are pretty much both the responsible ones, if anyone were to get them in trouble it would be the spouses or siblings.

6. What's something they can communicate to each other with just a look?

🍊 They can communicate battle strategies, and plans, and complain about their siblings all without saying a word to each other.

7. How do they cheer each other up when one of them is feeling down?

🥭 When Nozel is feeling down Fugoleon brings him roast duck, dumplings, rice, his favorite fruity alcoholic drink, and some of their favorite book series from when he was a teen. When Fuegoloen is upset Nozel usually forces him to go out usually to a Zoo. Fuegoleon likes animals.

8. Do they have nicknames or silly names they use for each other?

🍍They don't have nicknames for each other but they do occasionally call names when battling against each other.

9. What's one memory they both think back on and laugh about?

🍌 They laugh and joke about witnessing Nozel's parents have sex, sneaking into town when they were her teens, pulling pranks on Mereoleona, and mishaps they caused when learning their magic.

10. How would they spend an ideal "friend date" together?

🍋 They enjoy going to restaurants together, looking at old scrapbooks and pictures to write down stories, and walking around towns together.

11. Do they exchange gifts, and if so, what kinds of things do they like to give each other?

🍈 They like to give each other random nick-nacks from the places of festivals they have been. Just things that show they have been thinking about each other even when they weren't talking or close at the time.

12. Who's the one to encourage the other to try new things?

🍏 Fuegoleon is the one to encourage Nozel to try new things but he is usually convinced by others first.

13. Do they have any shared traditions or habits, like weekly movie nights or inside jokes?

🍐 They like to meet up and do paperwork together. The frequency of them doing it has varied over the years tho.

14. How do they handle disagreements, and are they quick to forgive?

🥝 They battle. They don't have too many personal fights and their arguments never last very long as they still admire, respect, and care for each other but they do disentes themselves at times. 

15. What are each other's roles in a crisis—who's calm and who's the "panic friend"?

🫒 They are both pretty calm during a crisis but they have a rule that if one is having a personal/family crisis but can tell the other about it (being cursed after watching your mother die) they will silently support each other by just being there.

16. Do they have any topics or boundaries they avoid to keep the peace?

🫐 Family and sibling relationships (how poorly Nozel treated Noelle in the past or how wild Mereoleona is). Dating. They don't talk about their romantic relationship to avoid unwanted advice.

17. Who's the "early bird" and who's the "night owl," and how do they handle it when they hang out?

🍇 Nozel is a night owl who wakes up early and Fuegoleon is an early bird who stays up late.

18. What's a funny habit they've picked up from each other over time?

🪻 They like to quote each other but no one else knows they are quoting each other so it's funny only to them. When he is alone or out of the public eye, Fuegoleon likes to baby-talk to Salamber, and Nozel does it too. Nozel and Dorothy have a cat that gets along really well with Salamaber.

19. How would they handle being apart for a long time—do they stay in touch or have a dramatic reunion?

🌈 Both depending on the reasons why.
