Mizuki started packing one backpack to be easier. Her mind was running in all the places as she didn't know what to do first.
The world outside was a mess. People are running and wondering where to go. Police inspecting the place and keeping their eye on everyone. The roads started closing to keep people in a secured place until the law was applied.
Mizuki threw a shirt into the backpack and sighed heavily. "What are we doing, Chae? Am I going to die?" She asked dramatically as she looked at her friend with anxiety.
"Oh no, God. How can you die? No, never. I'll not let you die. Neither will Hyunjin. Everything is going to be fine." Chae said as she looked through the closet.
Mizuki groaned again. Her hands were trembling a bit. "Come on, tho. You can't do anything next to these guys with guns and... ugh. They look like they got the entire army into this."Chae looked outside the window at the police. "No.... well, maybe." She sighed as well and sat next to Mizuki on the bed.
"Hey. I'm not going to let them see you. You are going to be fine. Like, what is the worst that can happen to you?" She asked like she didn't know the consequences.
"I don't know, like..... die?" Mizuki said, nonchalantly with a sarcastic tone, kinda making fun of Chaeryeong for saying something so stupid.
Chae laughed a bit and then got all serious again. "Well... no, let's not think about that. They will take you to the prison and keep you there under their eyes to see your uhh.... evolution?" She said, shrugging her shoulders.
"Yeah, like experiments in the laboratory." Mizuki said and looked away, trying to stuff things into he backpack, like shirts, hoodies, pants, and others.
"And what are we going to do about my eye?" The black haired girl asked as she felt herself already on the edge. She looked at Chae, who was looking around the room while thinking of a way to solve this critical problem.
"Well.... how about... oh! I let you inside here and go to a shop to buy contact lenses!" She said, looking proud at her friend, but Mizuki looked at her red-haired friend with a very shocked face.
"No! And let me hear all alone? He'll no. You are not leaving me." She said with a very stern voice.
"Alright, then... what is there to do other than this? You can't go out because the police will suspect you, and you don't want me to go out and let you here by yourself." Chae said, thinking of any other way.
"The only thing left to do is... wait for Hyunjin, and hope he planned this part, too?" She continued and looked at Mizuki.
"Yeah... that's the best idea so far. Does he even know about the eye thing?" Mizuki asked and took out her phone.
"I'm going to call him." She said, and Chaeryeong nodded, aprooving with her friend's idea.
Mizuki opened her phone and called her boyfriend. The first time, he didn't answer, and the second time, it didn't even call. "No chance. The phone is not ringing." Mizuki sighed and looked at his contact info.
"Maybe... Is he already on the plane?" Chae said, hoping he'll be here as soon as he can.
"Maybe... I don't know anymore." The clock was ticking, and everything was a mess. Hyunjin was the only one who could make her feel safe right now. But he wasn't here.
Chaeryeong felt her friend start to get really upset, and she hugged her with as much compassion as she could have.
"You will be fine, Miz. Everything is going to go well. Hyunjin is on his way. You have me and Jay on your side. We are not going to let anyone take you, alright?" Chae said, trying her best to make Mizuki feel any better.
"Yes... I'll be fine... everything is going to go according to the plan."
"That's right... now stop looking so sad. Your boyfie is coming in a few hours, and he can't see you so messed up." They laughed a bit, and Chaeryeong's confident personality helped Mizuki feel on her feet again.
"I'm just scared, you know? What if Hyunjin didn't think things through? What if he forgot something? If that happened, the plan would be useless, and we'll end up both in jail, rotting there."
"Girl, that's not going to happen. I don't think Hyunjin is that dumb. And what? Rot? You are too pretty to rot!" Chae said, yet again, making Mizuki laugh.
"Thank you for making me feel better in such a stressed situation." Chae smiled and took the girl's hand into hers.
"You know, you can't be so stressed even if it is such a terrible situation. Sometimes, it's better to keep a light mood. " The black haired girl nodded and smiled back.
"Thanks.... for everything."
