Akari and Eiichi found themselves in a compromising position.

In her blissful state, Akari had lost her balance and fallen on top of Eiichi, dragging him down with her. His body had shielded her from the impact of falling on the couch. She found their faces right in front of each other when she lifted her head to apologize.

Her words got stuck in her throat. Seeing him so close made her eyes size up. Under her, he was also staring at her with those purple eyes.

W-What's with this situation….?!

She was right on top of him, pressed against him. One of his arms was around her waist and the other around her shoulders. His long legs had her legs confined.

Her own accelerating heartbeat was ringing in her ears. She didn't know of the red blush that dusted across her pale cheeks. H-He will hear my heart race…!

And he could, indeed, hear her racing heartbeat. With their chests pressed without any space left between them, he vividly felt the wild thumping of her heart. It felt…. alluring. It was stirring something in his heart.

At this distance, he could smell the aroma of her shampoo, mixed with her natural scent. It was. . . . sweet and…. inviting.

The situation had made her mind blank. I… I-I should move and… get up and apologize but….. my body isn't moving…. I.. I can't….

Her golden orbs peered into his purple orbs behind the frame of glasses. They're like beads of jewels…. I haven't seen anyone with prettier eyes… I could stare at them all day…

She had seen how those eyes look so serious whenever he's concentrating, how they twinkle when he laughs, how they hold concern when she's suffering, how tender they get whenever he's with his friends.

Her fingers on top of his chest twitched in the slightest. I know I should get off him but…. She noticed that… he's not moving himself.

Is it… okay to stay like this then?

She gulped the lump that had gathered at the back of her throat. Their chests moved up and down at the same time, as if they had gotten into sync.

When he's staring me like this, it feels embarrassing…. Her cheeks darkened unknowingly. He doesn't know how hot he is, does he?

Her eyes took in the sight of his attractive face. He looked exceptionally handsome up close. Her gaze fell on the mole beside his lips. It added to his sexiness, in all honesty. When her eyes traversed back up to his eyes, her heart skipped a beat.

She found that…… his eyes had fallen to her lips. She unconsciously pressed her red lips together, feeling the heat rise to her cheeks. The way he's staring…. It's not fair…!

She averted her eyes from his and stared down at his lips. She was caught off guard when the hand around her shoulders moved up to her head. Gingerly, he tucked her long strands of hair behind her ear that had been caging them. It gave a better look at her blushing face.

This simple action got something fluttering inside her. What was not helping was that his hand remained there, on her cheek. His calloused hand was warm against her skin. Her vision got lifted up to his eyes again. Her eyes were trembling with emotions now.
