Eiji was done wiping out the greater minions of the army so he joined his brother.
"Michael." Eiichi held out his left hand. The younger brother understood what he wanted and handed his own sword to him. "Channel your divine energy to me."
"Uriel, Gabriel, Belial, Raphael and Azazel too."
Everyone heard Lucifer's message. They all focused their divine energy and sent the concentrated beam to Eiichi, giving him a boost. The swords in his hands shimmered, killing all the minions. The king also let out a scream, powering himself up.
Eiichi charged at him while the others caught their breath, exhausted.
Clang
Two swords hit the trident. The king growled and held his ground. Eiichi didn't back out either.
Crack
The trident broke into two halves at Eiichi's strike. He raised his sword to strike him again but the king was agile enough to dodge the attack. Shadows sprung up from the ground and captured Eiichi's legs, catching him off guard. And then…
Stab
A sword pierced through a heart.
"...!!!!" Akari felt the aftereffects hit her full force, knocking her to the ground.
"Akari!!" Nagi and Shion panicked and went to the unconscious girl on the floor.
Meanwhile, Eiichi dropped his sword.
But he kept holding onto Eiji's sword and applied more pressure into it to pierce his enemy's heart. The dark king let out a scream before disappearing into dust.
"It's gone…." Eiji whispered.
"Lucifer . . won," Kira mumbled.
"We won…." Van breathed in disbelief.
"Yatta!!!" Yamato roared.
Inside the mansion, Nagi and Shion also felt the disappearance of the dark energy. The pinkette retracted the barrier and collapsed beside Akari, panting heavily.
"Of course, we'd win."
Shion joined his hands in prayer. "Thank heavens…."
"I kept my promise, Akari." Eiichi got down on his knees, breathing heavily. Fighting without holding anything back had drained him completely.
. . . . . . .
When Akari opened her eyes, she found herself mid air.
"Wah..!" She immediately clutched the man carrying her. "Geez, wake me up before flying with me, Eiichi."
"You were out cold. That's why we let you rest."
That's right! The battle with the king of hell!
"The fight…"
"We won," Van winked.
"Did you think we, angels, would lose?" Nagi remarked.
That made Akari realize that everyone was there, flying. "Everyone! You're all fine!"
"'Course we are!"grinned Yamato.
"We're unharmed. How are you?" Eiji spoke worriedly.
"You lost consciousness…. from the aftereffects," added Kira.
