Pearl went to the dance with the Bridgerton's. They were watching the ballet being performed as Colin stood behind Pearl. Pearl looked up at Colin with love in her eyes as Colin looked down at her. As the dance ended Colin looked down and said, "Why do I have the feeling the Queen is trying to push the love affair between my sister and the duke." Pearl giggled as she looked over and saw Cressida talking with Antonio. "It has seemed though my match is happening." Pearl said to Colin making him look over at Antonio and Cressida. "Shall we go see how they are?" Pearl nodded, taking his arm and they walked over to the couple. "Cressida, Antonio." Pearl curtsied, as Colin bowed. "Pearl, thank you so much for introducing us. We want you to be the first person to know." Pearl seemed confused when Cressida showed Pearl her ring. "Oh, my lord! You are to be married?!" Cressida smiled and said, "I know we haven't gotten along but I would like you to be my bridesmaid." Pearl said, "Bygones be bygones." Cressida smiled.
Antonio looked at Colin and said, "Mind if I steal a dance from her?" Colin smiled as Antonio raised his hand toward her. She gracefully took it, and they walked onto the dance floor. "So, what is the plan after your marriage?" Antonio looks at Cressida and said, "I would like to take her away from here. So that her family isn't looking over her shoulder." Pearl nodded. Then she looked over to see her cousin all over Colin with her lips upon his. Antonio saw this and said, "Go." Pearl looked over at Antonio who said, "Go. I will take care of this. I owe it to you." Pearl nodded. Leaving the dance floor and leaving the building and she told the stagecoach. "Featherington Residence please." She sat in the carriage with tears streaming down her face when suddenly the carriage stopped. The door opened and she saw Colin.
"Colin? What are you doing here?" Colin got into the carriage and said, "Bridgerton residence please." The carriage started to go as Colin said, "I didn't kiss your cousin back. She captured me as I was walking to my family. I begged her to leave me alone. She was saying all the horrible things about you. I couldn't stand there and listen to all the things she said because they aren't true." Pearl looked the other way when Colin took her hand and said, "There is no one that I want to be by my side than you." Pearl looked at Colin as the two stared at each other. Colin launched himself at her lips as the two were hands on each other.
Until suddenly the carriage stopped making the two stop and pant. Colin smiled at her as he fixed himself and lifted his hand to her. This made Pearl confused as she said, "Colin, it's late. I should be heading home." Colin grabbed something out of his pocket and said, "Pearl Anastasia Featherington, will you marry me?" Pearl face went into shock and said, "Marry?" Colin nodded, taking her hand and said, "Please." Pearl nodded as she received the ring, and they walked into the Bridgerton home and showed them the ring.
