The young mothers untangle themselves from each other before getting dressed. "You know," Chloe hugs her from behind. "Hmm?" "I know we don't have the chance to be intimate as often as we'd like. Especially with four kids running around, but regardless, i love you very much baby." Chloe kisses her cheek. Red smiles sadly. "I love you Bluey." She teases. Chloe rolls her eyes. "Stop calling me that." "But you're my Bluey!" Red kisses her cheek. "Yeah yeah, what are we gonna do about the twins?" She asks as she brushes her Red's hair. "Well, i have the pocket watch. So we don't have to worry about them going back again. I'm more worried about my mom." Red sighs. Chloe pulls away and makes her wife look at her. "She's ok. I promise. You wanna go see her tomorrow?" Red nods. "Yes please."
They drift off to sleep as the twins are having an intense conversation in Crimson's room. "We can't." "We have to!" "Mom has that pocket watch locked up. We're never going to get it." Cree says as he shuffles his cards, a nervous habit he picked up from his mom and from his grandma Bridget. "Yes we are, mom's are in their room, the little ones are asleep. All we have to do is sneak into mom's office, I'll pick the lock and then we go back." Crimson smiles. Cree nods. "Mhm, and how do we know it worked? What if we do this shit and then come back it's grandma Bridget who's dead? Or worse?" Cree looks at his sister. He has a point, they can do this as many times as they want but how will they be sure that it's working? That what they're doing is pulling off? Crimson, having an epiphany, goes to Bridget's room that she's staying in, Cree following closely behind. "What are we doing in here?" "Sh! Before moms hear you." She whispered. She rummaged through the drawers until she found it. "The looking glass?" Cree comes up behind her. "If we're gonna go back, we gotta do this right. And this is how we're gonna check in on the future while we're in the past." Crimson shows him the looking glass. "What do you say? One last time?"
Cree shakes his head. "Hold up, you wanna go back in the past do what exactly? Keep Bridget from ever marrying James? You'd be erasing Mom and uncle Harry from existence." Crimson shakes her head. "No, I'm saying, we let them meet, let them fall in love but we make sure that they don't stay together." Cree thinks about their options. "But then that could mean Grandma Bridget becomes a tyrant again. Think about it, what if maybe grandpa James was the one keeping her in line?" "Oh he kept her in line, alright. That bastard. I can't believe we're related to him. And besides, mom's said it was a prank that made grandma Bridget into a tyrant. A prank at Castlecoming. If we go back just after the dance, the prank was never pulled and we won't be messing with mom's timelines." Crimson slowly nods. "Ok, what about our timeline?" Cree holds the pocket watch in his hand. "We'll be fine. As long as mom's fall in love, we'll be fine. Which, have you seen the way those two look at each other? I don't think we'll have a problem."
"Wait, wouldn't we need to go back to the first time he abused her then? It wouldn't make sense to go back that far?" Crimson shrugs. Cree shakes his head. "No, by then it'll be too late. They would have been together for too long, knowing grandma Bridget, she would stay with him just for mom and uncle Harry." Crimson thinks. "Ok, so we go back, we let them fall in love, let them have kids and then split them up. Wouldn't we need to go back about 30 something years? That way mom and uncle Harry are already born?" The doors suddenly burst open. "Or! I have a better idea! How about you two don't go back at all?!" Red shouts. "Moms!" They nearly dropped the pocket watch. "Careful!" Chloe shouts as they manage to catch it without touching anything. Everyone breathes a sigh of relief. "Are you fucking kidding me? Please tell me you're joking!" Red shakes her head. "Mom's please. We just want to make this right." Crimson pleads. "You wanna make this right? Then leave the pocket watch and go to bed. It's been a long day for all of us. Please." Red sighs. "Mom, we can fix this, you can fix this, you know it. Please?" Cree begs. "And when were you planning on going back to exactly?" "Uh, we.... haven't figured that part out yet. But the pocket watch will do that for us, right?" Red shakes her head. "That pocket watch is not figuring out anything. You are not going back. Now give it here." The two mothers slowly make their way towards the twins. "Don't you want grandma Bridget to be safe?" Red sighs. "Your grandma will be fine. She's in the hospital, she's stable, they're taking care of her and your grandpa's....your grandpa's gone now, we don't have to worry about him." Red looks down as Chloe wraps her arm around her wife and rubs her arm. "Twins, let's not do this, please. Just give us the pocket watch." Chloe holds out her hand. Crimson sighs before placing the pocket watch on her hand. She quickly grabs Cree's hand before she maneuvers her finger and presses the button and activates the watch. Time once again reverses itself as the four of them travel back. Question is, to when?
