"Should we head inside?" Joshua suggested as he took a step inside his apartment.
Jeonghan nodded and he turned around to rest his suitcases near the shoe cabinet. He then slowly removed his heavy coat.
A warm, enveloping vanilla aroma overwhelmed his senses as he inhaled a deep breath, taking in the now too familiar Joshua's scent he knew he'd now have the chance to appreciate every day.
As the older turned around Joshua caught him by surprise. He cupped Jeonghan's cheeks and closed the gap between them.
Time seemed to have stopped for the two boys as both of them closed their eyes and got absorbed in the moment. All their surroundings seemed to dimly disappear as the kiss became gradually more intense.
"J-Joshua..." Jeonghan murmured.
He slightly peeped through his eyes.
Joshua was purely lost in the moment, he didn't hesitate nor look at the older.
Joshua began unbuttoning Jeonghan's blue shirt. Their steps began to lead them towards Joshua's door frame. They were now standing in front of the bedroom.
The younger's one hand roamed freely over the older's chest and the other was softly moving between Jeonghan's hair strands.
The older suddenly stopped and Joshua quickly noticed. The gap that parted the two boys earlier had know reformed.
Joshua's face expression appeared surprised but soon morphed into a disappointed one.
"Joshuji, can we do this another time?" Jeonghan kindly suggested. He wanted to continue because deep down he missed it, but at the same time he wasn't really feeling it.
"Of course" Joshua softly smiled but his gaze fell down on the floor, "let's postpone it... again" the younger slightly nodded.
"What's that supposed to mean?" Jeonghan inquired, his face expression as confused as ever.
"Nothing" Joshua replied and swiftly walked away to the living room as if having something else to do there.
Jeonghan soon followed him. He was thinking about the younger's remark.
"Joshua listen, I haven't been in the right mindset for a while now because of many reasons... among those my scheduled departure" Jeonghan had realized what Joshua was referring to.
"Yes, yes, of course babe" Joshua compliantly answered, he didn't wanna push it after all since he didn't wanna argue with Jeonghan.
"Joshuji... talk to me" Jeonghan gently grasped the younger's arm. To which, the latter quickly turned around and glanced at the older. Joshua's eyes fell on the hand that was still holding his arm.
Jeonghan was still expecting an explanation since the younger hadn't given him one yet.
He released his hold off Joshua's arm.
"What am I supposed to tell you Jeonghan?" Joshua's voice tone sounded higher than before. "That, you know... we haven't had an intimate moment for what, weeks now?" Joshua took a deep breath, "but I get it, I don't wanna push you in any way" he sat down on the sofa, "I understand you've been stressed and overwhelmed by the overall situation".
Jeonghan stared at a blank spot, trying to gather his thoughts.
"Exactly, I've been busy... thinking about all the schedules my dad had appointed me, all the calls I had to make in advance, all the goodbyes I had to bid..." It started to sound like Jeonghan wanted to vent, "I had to plan everything... think about everything... intimacy with you was really my last concern, it was far from my mind" Jeonghan spurted the words out of his mouth as if following his infinite flow of thoughts, and, before he realized, Joshua hastily stood up and scoffed at what Jeonghan just said.
