"His severe dehydration lead him to lose consciousness, his heart rate had slowed down significantly which could've been a serious life threat, we've stabilized him now, please be patient until he wakes up" the doctor reassuringly smiled with a nod to both Lee Know and Changbin. The other boys were right walking towards them so they overheard the last sentence.
Lee Know looked at them confused, he didn't expect them to come there so fast.
"Hey hey doctor" Joshua suddenly stopped her, almost in an aggressive way, his whole attitude scared the doctor.
"Sir I'll need you to step back"
"Who are you?" The doctor inquired as she tilted her head in curiousity.
"We're Jeonghan's friends" Seungcheol stepped forward and answered the question.
The doctor looked somewhat unsure about it. She glanced at Lee Know and Changbin. They nodded at her.
"What happened to him??" Joshua demanded an answer. His aggressive demeanor still quite apparent.
"Okay listen" the doctor took a deep breath and finally spoke, "Mister Yoon was dehydrated. We found concerning levels of alcohol in his blood which lead him to that state" the doctor briefly explained.
Wonwoo, Seungcheol, Dino and Dokyeom all stood there and listened attentively.
"However" the doctor paused and glanced at all of them, "Jeonghan drank an amount of alcohol that could've been deadly due to his underlying health condition" the doctor finally added.
"What are you talking about?" Joshua looked puzzled at her, he was oblivious to whatever she was saying.
"You don't know?" The doctor asked, glancing at all the boys once again. "He was being treated... for a gastrointestinal tumor-" she was soon interrupted.
"I'm sorry? A tumor?" Joshua stared at her puzzled, his eyebrows furrowed and his eyes squinting, searching for an answer from the doctor.
"Unfortunately yes" her gaze lowered to the floor as she felt sorry for them.
"Doctor what are you saying..." Dokyeom's voice tone subsided as a concerning face formed.
"How could no one know..." Wonwoo pondered. The news were certainly something at least Joshua should've known according to them.
"That's surprising... in fact, Jeonghan hasn't told anyone... not even his personal assistants" the doctor added as she briefly eyed at Lee Know and Changbin.
A moment of silence formed and everyone got deep into their thoughts. That news shocked them.
"I'll excuse myself now" the doctor spoke.
She softly bowed to the boys.
She walked away down the hall and her figure soon shrinked into distance.
As she left, the hall was left hushed.
Seungcheol stood behind the boys and slowly drifted off the scene, a look of guilt plastered on his face.
After all, he knew.
This time it was so obvious though.
Seungcheol spaced out staring at a spot and his eyes became glossy.
Countless thoughts roamed through his restless mind.
The fact that Jeonghan didn't pay much attention into taking care of himself this time lead Seungcheol to feel somewhat responsible about it, and at the same time he felt like he completely failed as his best friend.
He was feeling like a complete failure.
His glossy eyes soon began to water as his back slid down the wall that was holding all his weight.
