I spent the whole weekend feeling miserable. I ate a gallon of cookies and cream ice cream and cried into my pillow so much that it started to look like a face.
When Monday morning came I literally rolled out of bed and landed on the floor really hard. I went to my closet and choose a white tank top, a turquoise mini skirt and black heels. I quickly got dressed and brushed my hair, put my makeup on, grabbed my bag and went downstairs. My mom had prepared breakfast for me which was on the table. Mini pancakes, sausage, fresh fruit and juice. I sat down at the table and saw my mom reading a magazine.
"Good morning mom", I said taking a bite of my pancake.
"Good morning sweetie", she replied cheerfully. "How do you feel? Are you okay?".
"I'm fine. Besides, he was into Madison the whole time", I replied. I finished my food with out telling her anything else. I looked out the window and saw Ashlins car. "I have to go mom. I love you". I put the dishes in the sink and rushed out the door. I tapped on the window and she unlocked the door.
"Hey Bella", she said cheerfully. What's up with everyone being so cheerful today?
"Hey. So, has the news spread yet from Friday?", I asked. She shook her head no in reply and started driving. I reached into my bag and pulled out my phone to look at my messages. There was one message from Ashlin which was sent yesterday. Probably to make sure I was okay. Once we were at school, a huge crowd started to form around the car. Ugh. The school newspaper probably wants to get a picture of me to go on the front page. I grabbed a pair of sunglasses off the dashboard and put them on. Ashlin looked at the crowd and gave them an icy stare that ment business. They all scattered into the building and we both got out the car. I kept my head up and walked into the building. I went to my locker with Ashlin right next to me.
"Hey Bella", a random voice said. I looked around and saw Ryan next to me. He stood there with a locker open. It was his. How convenient that the guy I sit with at lunch, has five classes with me has a locker next to mine.
"Hey. How was your weekend?", I asked."It was good. You?".
Oh. It was okay I guess", I replied gloomly opening my locker.
"You seem upset. What happened over the weekend?", he asked. Ashlin walked away in fury.
"Nothing major. Just, Austin broke up with me on Friday to go be with Madison. So, yeah. That's pretty much it", I replied.
"Oh wow. I'm so sorry. How about since Fro Yo Yo Yo is having a half off all frozen yogurt all week, we go there after school today. My treat and I'll drive", he offered. I thought about it and frozen yogurt did sound good.
"Okay. I'll go. Now we have to go to math class". I grabbed my stuff and closed my locker and walked with Ryan to class.
After school, I grabbed my stuff from my locker and followed Ryan to his car. It was a red jeep considering that's what most of the kids at school drive. We got in the car and buckled up.
"Ready to go?"."Yeah", I replied. It was a twenty minute drive to the frozen yogurt place. We got out of the car and went inside and it wasn't very crowded for the yogurt to be half off. We went to the yogurt machine where we choose our flavors and toppings. I got a chocolate and vanilla swirl with sprinkles and gummy bears. Ryan got mint with nuts and chocolate chips. Sounds gross but apparently he liked it cause he ate it all in less than ten minutes. I took my time with mine though. I was scared I would get a brain freeze or something.
"Enjoying the fro yo?", he asked.
"Yeah it's pretty good but I don't see how you ate mint sprinkle chocolate chip without gagging", I giggled.
"I've had that many times. And chocolate chip mixed with sprinkles and mint tastes pretty good". I continued eating until I didn't want anymore.
"We should hang out more often. You're an amazing girl. I know it's only my first week in this city but I know that guys like Austin don't deserve girls like you Bella". I started to blush but I stopped immediately when he got up to throw away his cup. I tagged along and threw mine away and went to the car smiling the whole way home.
