I woke up Wednesday morning feeling refreshed and ready for the day. I looked at my phone and it was 6 in the morning. I don't know why I woke up so early. I didn't have to go to school today or for the rest of the week but I was going back Monday. I decided to get out of bed and clean myself up a little bit by washing my face and brushing my hair and teeth. I looked in the mirror and saw Ryan standing behind me.
"Good morning Bella", he said.
"Hey", I said turning around to face him.
"What do you wanna do today?", he asked.
"How about we just hang out here. Watch movies and eat popcorn", I replied.
"Sounds like a good idea", he agreed. We went and sat on my bed and I laid my head against his chest while he played with my hair. "What will happen if anyone finds out your secret?", I asked.
"The people who find out will have to be, eliminated. The only reason you know and you're not in danger is because I had permission to tell you. The vampire world is really complicated". I rose up and looked at him.
"So, do you have to have permission to change me?", I asked. He looked shocked.
"Bella. I'm not going to change you. I care to much about you to let you become a monster like me. I didn't ask to become what I am. Once you change, you can't go back to your human life", Ryan said.
"I don't care. I want to spend forever with you. You're the only one I want to spend forever with. How can I do that when I don't live forever when you do? If I never met you, I'd probably still be crying over Austin".
"Okay. How about this. After we graduate high school, you tell your mom you got a scholarship to college and then I turn you".
"How about, you do it now and we run away and be together forever", I said.
"Bella. We are going along with my plan. It'll be much easier. When you become a vampire, it'll be safe to stay away from humans". I sighed. I can't argue with him since he's had experience.
"Okay. Fine. You win. You can change me after graduation. But remember, my plan would've been better", I taunted. I laid my head on him again and he started to play with my hair again. "So, when I change, will I still be able to see my friends and family?", I asked.
"Yeah but it will be a little difficult to keep your hunger under control. So, after you change, you have to wait a month or two".
"Okay but, speaking of eating, how are you able to eat human food? Oh. Right".
"Yeah. Well, I'm going downstairs to go eat". He got up and got me out of bed. He carried me into the kitchen and placed me into a chair and walked to fridge and pulled out eggs, bacon and his "special" little snack. I watched him cook and before my eyes was crispy bacon and pretty yellow eggs. I picked up my fork and began eating and drinking my orange juice.
"I have to admit, for someone who doesn't cook for themself, you are really good at it", I said.
"Well, I have before when my mom was still alive".
"What happened to your mom? ", I asked.
"When I was born, she was dying. My father tried to save her but it was to late. So, he raised me own but the council found out about me. So, they killed him. They tried killing me but they couldn't. They figured out that I had powers. I'm the only one in vampire kind who has powers. Then they also figured out that I was a half vampire. So, they let me live in a room in their sanctuary until I grew to be a full vampire. So, at eighteen, they let me go".
"So, your mom and dad died before you could become a full vampire?.
"Yeah. I've always wanted to know. How come I've never met your father know you know what happened to my parents".
"When I was five years old, my mother and father got into a huge fight. He threatened to kill himself if she didn't give me to him forever. She said no even the judge said no. So, after she said no, he pushed the knife through his chest and died in the living room. I didn't know about this until I was a teenager though". He looked at me with sad eyes." Don't look at me like that. Lets go upstairs and watch a movie", I said taking my dishes to the sink. Ryan followed me and carried me upstairs. I sat on a blue couch that had throw pillows on it. I looked at the patterns that were printed on the couch and traced a few. When Ryan put the movie on, he came and sat next to me. I laid my head on his shoulder and the opening credits of the movie started playing.
When the movie was over, I went to my room with Ryan behind me. We both sat on my bed and he pulled me into a kiss. Which for some reason, this time I felt sparks. I wondered if he felt it to. I laid down on my bed and he laid next to me.
"We should go out. Lets go for a walk in the park. It's a sunny day, no clouds are in the sky. What do you say?", I asked.
"Okay. We could do that. Just let me go get some different clothes on". He walked out the room and I put on some sparkly blue jeans, a flowery top and heels. Ryan came back five minutes later with a green shirt and jeans.
"Shall we?". He took my arm and linked it around his. We walked downstairs and out the front door where the jeep was parked. Ryan opened the door and I climbed inside. I closed the door while he got in. I buckled up and we started going down the driveway and headed for the park. After a twenty minute drive, we arrived and got out of the car. The park was empty except for a lady in her seventies sitting on a bench feeding pigeons. Ryan took my hand and we walked at least two miles down a path. That led to nowhere.
"Well, that was fun. Now we get to walk back two miles. Unless you can carry me and use your super speed to get us back to the car", I said.
"Okay. Just make sure you hold on tight though", he warned. I jumped on his back and wrapped my arms around his neck tightly. He started running and everything was blurry. Before I knew it, we were back at the car and I was buckled in and Ryan was putting the key in.
"I had a lot of fun today".
"So did I. What do you mean want for dinner?". I looked at the clock and it was already five pm.
"How about burgers and fries. It's my favorite", I replied. We stopped at Burger king and then went home. I ate my food like we've never eaten a burger before. I skipped lunch. Ryan on the other hand, caught a squirrel and sucked the life out of it and threw it so far I didn't even see where I landed. We finished our meal and ran upstairs. I went and took a quick shower which was needed and changed into an oversized shirt and shorts. Ryan was laying on my bed without a shirt on. I laid next to him placing my hand against his chest. It was cold and felt like stone. I laid my head on him and stayed like that for hours until I fell asleep.
