There was silence in palace corridors. The guards standing at their posts didn't even move, giving the impression that they were lifeless statues. Suddenly, one of them became rigid. All the other soldiers immediately became stiff, gripping their weapons tighter. None of them moved, looking straight foward, but listening closely. The faint sound of footsteps.

The footsteps became louder and louder, boots clacking against the black marble floor. The guards relaxed when the first person emerged from behind the wall and continued walking down the long corridor. Walking hurriedly, Queen Diana ignored the guards saluting her and rushed to the elevator doors. She pressed the button and fidgeted as the small golden compartment slowly descended. As soon as the doors opened for her, she dashed out. Rushing past the different rooms of the palace, she headed outside on the golden bridge, crossing over to the huge doors in front of her. She entered, throwing the glass doors open and walking in the ballroom. She stopped short.

Standing right there, in the middle of the ballroom were two people. One was a tall, middle aged woman, with swirling green eyes and long black hair. The other was a young man, barely eighteen of age, with the same green eyes and short black hair. No one said anything. The two women just stood there, facing each other. Suddenly, the ballroom doors burst open again and another woman rushed in. She stopped and stared at two people before her. Then with a happy squeal, she rushed into the woman's arms and tackled her in a hug.
Diana smiled, watching the two women share a warm embrace. She then hugged her sisters in turn.

"Finally." said the Queen. "The three sisters once again reunited." Her sisters beamed. "It is good to see you, Nemora."

"You still haven't changed the last I saw you." said Nemora. The Queen chuckled.

"You only visited us every two years. Two years is not a lot of time to change. For me at least... I see you brought company this time?" she nodded her head toward the young boy. He stepped forward, staring at the three sisters in awe.

"My son." said Nemora proudly, touching his shoulder. The third sister smiled and greeted him warmly.

"Welcome, nephew. I am Princess Amaya."

The boys continued gawking at the women. "P...Princess? This...we...we're royalty? Mother you..." The boy turned to Nemora, wide eyed. "Thi...this is all real....this...this is..... We're royalty? Of the spirit world?!"

Nemora chuckled. "I have just revealed to him about our world a few days ago. My son is still finding it hard to believe."

The boy's dark green eyes glinted, darting everywhere, looking at the mirages on the ballroom walls.

"This world really is wonderful." smiled Amaya. "I am glad you have shared our wonders with your family."

"Agreed." nodded the Queen. She turned to her new nephew and smiled. "I am Queen Diana. If there is anything you would like to know about this world, do not hesitate to ask me, dear nephew."

The boy grinned. "I am Tenebris." his smiled widened and his swirling green eyes seemed to change shade. "And I want to know everything."
