Varian continued to write in his notebook when the moonstone flew in front of him, causing him to get distracted from writing. "What is wrong with you, tonight?" he murmured to himself, when suddenly the moonstones light wrapped around his neck like a collar and became one with his chest. Causing Varian to gasp loudly as its power began to course through him. His hair streak suddenly started to glow a brighter and more teal colour and his eyes started to glow brighter.
The light from the moonstone circled around Varian and the room causing him to stand up quickly, and try to grab the stone out of his chest. Nothing worked. His hair roots began to change in colour and his hands began to illuminate a slight blue light causing him to grow fearful and yell out "I thought I was in control!" his breathing quickened as he noticed in the nearby mirror his hair was changing in colour and his eyes were glowing more than usual.
The door to the cottage suddenly opened and Varian looked over to see Rapunzel standing there. She gasped and ran inside "Varian! What's going on here!?" Varian couldn't say much, except, "Princess! Help me! Please!"
Rapunzel went to approach Varian when suddenly the moonstones powers had taken over him. His eyes began to glow a bright teal colour, and his tears had changed in colour, too. His hair was now fully blue, and he just stood there staring at Rapunzel.
