Hyori's phone woke her up at seven in the morning. The girl wasn't fully ready for the beginning of the week. But she dragged herself out of bed. She opened the bedroom's curtain and the faint light of the early morning entered the room. Megumi turned in bed and mumbled.
The taller teen ousted the girl's bedroom to enter hers further down the hall. Inside, she retrieved her toiletries purse and walked into the bathroom. She then headed for the sink and washed her teeth. The younger teen would soon join her for their morning routine.
Bliss entered the bathroom at an unusually early time. Since the youngest in the apartment were the only ones attending school, they were the only ones showering before eight. The young woman greeted her on the way to the sink.
"Hello, Haze. Long time not seeing."
"Good morning, Bliss."
She sensed the tension in the copper but ignored her since she didn't have much time in the mornings. Honestly, she didn't have much time for anyone at any moment. She barely had personal time out of school, hosting, her studio and the gymnastics classes.
"Are you finally running away with your charming prince?" Asked Bliss after a minute of silence.
Hyori didn't want to answer. The silence remained in the bathroom until Megumi entered. The youngest rushed into the vacant shower and hastily washed herself. Bliss rushed out. Hyori exited the shower and did her skincare, followed by Megumi minutes later.
The youngest hurried to put lotion on her shorter body and they exited the bathroom to get dressed in their respective rooms. The violet had barely put her shirt on when knocking was heard on her door.
"You can come in."
Bliss entered her bedroom and leaned back on the closed door.
"Are you going to leave everything behind to follow a stranger?"
"I would rather stop hosting as soon as possible."
"Do you realise the pension won't be able to protect you outside?!"
Hyori turned to face her when she tasted the cocktail of angst and sadness. She had never seen Bliss at her wit's end. The taller one's breathing was erratic and tears pooled in her eyes. Hyori walked to her side and took Bliss in her arms.
The latter was now sobbing on her shirt as she kept going.
"You never know when a man is going to switch. You can never see the first hit coming. I've already lost my Mother and don't want to lose you. It's too dangerous to let one of them isolate you inside their home where no one can hear you. I trust your abilities but I'm too scared."
Hyori was drawing circles on Bliss's back. She had never been confided in family affairs. She settled her roommate under her daze, touched by her concern for her.
"Thank you for your concern. I have not accepted any proposition yet. I will think about it."
Her words hadn't appeased Bliss beyond what her quirk did but she couldn't stay any longer. The copper begrudgingly left after a resigned last look.

Some pupils recognised Hyori as the violet-haired general education pupil who made it to the last phase of the sports festival. Her face had been displayed on national television and so did her glide out of bounds.
People warmed towards her since they stopped thinking her quirk was absolute. In her loss, she had gained emotional capital from her peers. Had she won, she would have been feared again. It seemed like she couldn't win either way.
