Chapter Fourteen: Bye

"Okay honey. I think your all packed." My mom assured.

"Bye mom. Miss you!" I gushed. This may be the last time I see her. Who knows what I'm up against.

"Bye. Be on your best behavior." She hugged me. I was walking out the door, when mom stopped me.

"Almost forgot. Here." Mom handed me a necklace with a key strung around it. She also handed me a fifty dollar bill.

"The necklace was your grandmas. Your father got it for her on mother's day, before she passed. Take the fifty as a little spending money for paris." Mom insisted.

"Thanks mom!" I said. I walked out the door. What am I getting myself into? I thought.
