The sun had risen slowly over the palace, casting a gentle, golden light through the windows of Jungkook's chambers. It was the second day since the terrifying ordeal that had nearly claimed both his life and that of his unborn child. The atmosphere in the palace was one of cautious relief—Jungkook had been saved, but the memory of his brush with death still lingered in every corner.

Jungkook lay in bed, surrounded by a sea of pillows, his strength gradually returning. He could feel the life growing within him, the baby's presence more tangible than ever. But the fear from two days ago had left a mark on him; every small movement from the child was both a comfort and a reminder of how close they had come to losing everything.

Taehyung, who had scarcely left Jungkook's side since the incident, sat beside him, his eyes constantly watching over him, filled with a mix of love and lingering anxiety. "How are you feeling today, my love?" he asked softly, his hand resting protectively on Jungkook's swollen belly.

Jungkook offered a tired but genuine smile. "I'm feeling better, Tae. The baby is moving more today... I think they're letting us know they're okay too."

Jimin, who had taken it upon himself to prepare every meal for Jungkook since his recovery began, entered the room with a bowl of steaming broth. "Here, Kook. You need to eat this. The physician said it would help restore your strength."

Jungkook looked up at his best friend and co-consort with a grateful smile. "You've been so good to me, Jimin. I don't know how to thank you."

Jimin set the bowl down on the bedside table and leaned in, his eyes glistening with emotion. "You're my best friend, Kook. We've all been through so much together... I couldn't bear it if something happened to you or the baby."

The door to the chamber opened slowly, and Seokjin, accompanied by Yoongi, entered with careful steps. Both wore expressions of deep concern mixed with the profound relief that had settled in since Jungkook's revival.

"How's our precious Jungkook today?" Seokjin asked, his voice gentle as he approached the bed. He placed a hand on Jungkook's shoulder, offering both comfort and support.

"Better, Your Majesty," Jungkook replied with a respectful nod. "I feel much stronger today."

Yoongi, ever the observant and protective consort, stood beside Seokjin, his arms crossed but his eyes soft. "We're all relieved, but we won't stop worrying until you're completely recovered," he said, his tone firm yet full of affection. "You gave us all quite the scare."

"I'm sorry for worrying everyone," Jungkook said, his voice laced with guilt.

"Don't apologize," Taehyung interjected, his tone gentle yet resolute. "You and our child's safety is all that matters. We'll do everything in our power to ensure nothing like this ever happens again."

Seokjin nodded in agreement, his gaze warm as he looked at Jungkook. "You're our treasure, Jungkook. The palace hasn't felt right since you've been unwell. But now, things will be different. We'll all make sure of it."

The royal physician entered the room quietly, bowing deeply before approaching Jungkook's side. "Your Highness," he greeted with a respectful nod. "I've come to check on you again, just to be certain all is progressing as it should."

Jungkook nodded, allowing the physician to examine him, though his eyes stayed locked on Taehyung's, drawing strength from the King's unwavering presence.

After a thorough check, the physician smiled reassuringly. "All seems well, Your Highness. Both you and the child are stable, but I must insist on continued rest. Your body has endured a great deal, and you mustn't push yourself too hard."
