Princess Delilah's parents, King Roland and Queen Seraphina of Westeria, were immediately summoned by royal decree. Their presence, once merely a courtesy at Prince Taemin's birthday celebration, had now become imperative.

Jungkook was under the physician's care, attended by Ji-hun. Meanwhile, Yeonjun glared at Princess Delilah before taking his nephew to his chamber. The one-year-old had no idea how this could have been his first and last birthday. Princess Delilah was confined to her quarters, awaiting the arrival of King Roland and Queen Seraphina for her reckoning.

In the throne room, King Taehyung, the former King Namjoon, Grandfather Kim Daehyung, Queen Seokjin, Royal Consort Yoongi, and Consort Jimin gathered with the royal advisors.

"My lord, I cannot believe Princess Delilah was the culprit all along," said Queen Seokjin.

"You brought that princess into this palace, promising to marry her to our Taehyung, and look what she did? First, she attacked my Namjoon, and now Taemin," said Yoongi, his voice tinged with anger.

"You two, stop. This isn't the time to fight," Namjoon finally spoke, still seated in his wheelchair. "I almost lost my son." Tears welled up in Jimin's eyes.

Taehyung, overwhelmed by the gravity of the situation, was deeply stressed. Not only had he learned that Consort Jungkook was pregnant with his child, but he had also nearly lost his son, Prince Taemin, if not for Jungkook's timely intervention. The thought that Delilah would stoop so low as to poison a child just to marry him was unfathomable.

The Royal Advisor then spoke up, "Your Majesties, now that Consort Jungkook is carrying a royal child, he needs to be protected more than ever. After today's incident, we cannot trust anyone with the prince or the unborn child of Consort Jungkook. It is imperative that we tighten security around them both. We should also consider relocating them to a more secure part of the palace where their safety can be more easily guaranteed. Furthermore, anyone who has access to them should be thoroughly vetted. We must also increase the presence of trusted guards and perhaps consider appointing a personal bodyguard for Consort Jungkook."

Taehyung nodded, his expression one of grim determination. "You are right. We must ensure their safety at all costs. I will not let anything happen to them."

A group of stern-faced guards brought in a cloaked figure, his hands bound and eyes wide with fear. This was the mysterious helper of Princess Delilah, always seen skulking in the shadows, never revealing his true identity.

The guards dragged him to the interrogation chamber, where the royal family awaited. King Taehyung, Queen Seokjin, Consort Yoongi, and Consort Jimin stood alongside the royal advisors. The tension in the air was palpable.

The cloaked man was thrown to his knees before them. His cloak was removed, revealing a gaunt, nervous face.

"Identify yourself," commanded Taehyung, his voice cold and authoritative.

The man hesitated, trembling under the intense scrutiny of the royals. "I... I am Elias, Your Majesty," he stammered.

Queen Seokjin's eyes narrowed. "You have been seen with Princess Delilah on numerous occasions. What were you plotting with her?"

Elias swallowed hard, knowing there was no escape. "I was merely following orders, Your Majesty. Princess Delilah... she promised me wealth and power if I assisted her."

"And what exactly did she instruct you to do?" Yoongi asked, his voice sharp.

Elias shuddered. "She ordered me to strike the former King Namjoon with a poisonous arrow during the spring festival. And recently, she instructed me to help her acquire poison to put into Prince Taemin's juice."

Jimin gasped, his hand instinctively moving to cover his mouth. "How could she be so cruel?"

Taehyung's anger flared, his hands clenched into fists. "And how did you manage to carry out these vile acts?"

Elias hung his head in shame. "I struck the former king from the shadows during the festival. For the recent act, I procured the poison and handed it to Princess Delilah. She planned to use it during Prince Taemin's birthday celebration, believing that if Prince Taemin was out of the way, she could manipulate her way into the royal family more easily."

Queen Seokjin stepped forward, her voice icy. "You will face the consequences of your actions, Elias. You have endangered the lives of our family and betrayed the trust of this kingdom."

The guards tightened their grip on Elias, preparing to escort him back to the dungeons.

"Wait," Taehyung said, stopping them. He turned to the royal advisor. "Ensure that every detail of this conspiracy is documented. We will need all evidence when Princess Delilah's parents arrive."

The advisor nodded. "It shall be done, Your Majesty."

As Elias was taken away, the royal family remained in the chamber, the weight of the betrayal heavy on their hearts. They knew that the battle was not yet over. Princess Delilah would face her reckoning, and justice would be served. But for now, they had to protect their own and ensure the safety of both Prince Taemin and Consort Jungkook.
