an: a s6 au between stefan and elena. forewarning, i wrote this a few months ago, LOL. and the beginning is a little graphic, so if anyone wants to skip over it, they can. please lmk what you think! x

"I want to..." He grimaced, not finishing his sentence.

"What?" She asked.

He stayed silent. Merely bringing his face closer to hers.

He had her against the wall and their bodies were flushed together.

"Elena, God, you're..." he trailed off, kissing her neck.

She let out a soft moan as he nipped a region on her neck.

"Stefan... Ugh, please..." was all she could utter.

"Stefan..." she started getting louder.

"Stefan!" She yelled.

Except it wasn't Elena. It was Caroline.

He woke up, startled. He took a deep breath.

What the actual fuck?

"Yeah! I'm up, I'm up..." he replied, sighing.

"Are you... okay?" She asked, hesitantly, hovering over him.

"Yeah. Yeah, I'm alright." He responded, a little dazed

"Are you sure? Did you have a nightmare or something? Or was it some sort of a vision?" She asked, standing beside the bed.

Oh, it was definitely not a nightmare. He'd prefer his chances with a nightmare right about now, though.

"Uh, no, it was..." he went off, not sure what to say.

Caroline looked at him with a puzzled expression.

"I'm fine, I just need a shower." Stefan said, jumping out of bed.

A cold damn shower.

Then he felt the need to explain himself a little.

"I promise I just need to get my brain circulating again. And to wash off."

Everything including these sinful thoughts he was, for some reason, having.

"Okay." She uttered.

Stefan then got out of the shower feeling slightly more calm and relaxed.

Then his mind trailed off to thinking what having a wet dream about Elena, his brother's girlfriend, meant.

It'd be so much easier if it was about... Caroline or someone else, anyone else.

Because this just complicated things for him. He had tried so hard over the past 2 years to get over that whole debacle and get over the fact that the his brother and girlfriend were dating. Anyway, it hadn't been a pretty situation for anyone.

So, he felt it best to just move on. But he could not be having resurfacing feelings.

He shook his head. No. It can't be that deep. It was just a dream.

It's fine. It's not that big of a deal.

He figured he should get out of his room for a bit. Get a change of pace. Do something productive. It'll clear his head.

Stefan opened the door of his room and because he happened to have the shittiest luck in the world, he bumped into the one person he didn't want to see for a good long while.
