"Are you coming with me to visit Sincere" I asked Mel. I had to work overtime yesterday, so I couldn't go. But besides that I've been there everyday.
"Yeah, did you get any updates" She asked grabbing her purse following me out of the house.
"They said he's doing a lot better, still not awake but better" I said pulling out of the driveway.
"I guess that's good, what do we do when he wakes up" She asked looking over at me.
"Nurse him back to health, give him a job, help him get an apartment, get him pregnant" I chuckled making her burst out laughing.
"Not you plotting on that man" She said softly laughing.
"I am not, he is fine as fuck tho" I said smiling.
2 Hours Later
"I hope you like this cause this caveman look is not gonna work" I chuckled sitting Sincere's hands in bowls of water and acetone.
"You're so gentle, you should've been a nurse" Mel said watching me like a proud mother.
"Oh no ma'am" I giggled shaking my head. I stood up and combed his hair while his hands soaked.
"Do you need help with his hair" She asked dropping her phone in her purse.
"Yes, I need to get the back" I told her gently lifting his head combing the top. "It's a neck pillow in the Walmart bag" I told her grabbing a Kleenex wiping his mouth.
"Here sister" She holding the pillow out to me.
"Thank you" I said popping the tag before putting it around his neck.
"I'm gonna get a cold rag, he's hot" She said getting a rag out of the bag.
"Okay" I mumbled rubbing his eyebrows. "Lawd this man is so handsome" I said picking up the clippers.
"Are you flirting with him" She chuckled walking back out with a folded towel.
"If that's what you consider it, I was just saying how handsome he is" I giggled giving her the nail bag. "Clean under his nail, clip them, cut the cuticles, and clear coat" I told her while putting the guard on the clippers.
"I know how to do nails Kennedy" She said taking the first hand out patting it dry.
"My bad Melody" I mumbled as I started cutting his hair. We both went to cosmetology school, so we basically can do anything "beauty" related.
About an hour later I was lining up his beard. I brushed his hair and wiped off the access hairbefore taking the cape off. I put it in a Plastic bag and threw it away.
"He's even more fine now, I can't wait till he wake up so I can tell him how handsome he is" I said rubbing his head.
"I would be happy if I woke up to a beautiful woman telling me how good I look" Mel said putting the clear on his nails.
"I would be happy if I woke up to somebody, shit I'm tired of being alone" I chuckled picking his towel up going to the bathroom. After wetting the towel again, I walked back to him patting his face and neck.
"All done" She mumbled placing his hand back by his side.
"I hope he wakes up really soon, I want to get to know" I sighed rubbing his cheek.
"Me too Sissy" She said sitting in the chair next to the bed.
"What should we have for dinner" I asked looking up at her.
"We can stop somewhere, I know you don't feel like cooking me either" She said typing on her phone.
"Okay, what do you want" I asked sitting down.
"How about Olive Garden" She said sitting her phone on her lap.
"Alright, we'll leave in about 30 minutes" I told her making her nod. "Honestly, how do you feel about him staying with us for a while" I asked doing some work on my iPad.
"That's fine, I don't want to just throw him back on the streets. Especially after all of this" She said scratching her head. "Hopefully Penny doesn't scare him away" She sighed staring out of the window.
"3 strikes and her ass won't be allowed back in my house, she's already on 1. I know she was texting about me that night" I shrugged looking at her, she nodded and sat back.
