"Melly" I gasped shaking her, waking her.
"What happened" She gasped sitting up looking around.
"He's moving, go get somebody" I anxiously told her while walking over to him. She jumped up and rushed out. I walked over seeing him trying to open his eyes. "Don't move Baby Boy" I told him rubbing his cheek.
"Oww" He grumbled turning his head, resting his face in my hand.
"You're okay" I whispered looking at the door. "The doctor is coming" I said caressing his face, I looked down at him again before the door flew open and Mel walked in 2 doctors.
"Has he said anything" The male doctor asked looking at me.
"He only said ow, I told him not to move so he doesn't hurt himself" I said moving back.
"Okay" He said reading the monitor. "Sincere, can you hear me" He asked while his heartbeat, he got no answer.
"Sincere, if you can hear me squeeze my fingers" I said putting my fingers in his hand. He grabbed onto my fingers making me smile and lift our hands. "It's Kenny us from the market, can you open your eyes Baby Boy" I asked rubbing his hand with my thumb. He slowly shook his head softly sighing.
"We need to run some tests; can you wait over there" The female doctor making me nod and wiggle my fingers out of his grip.
1 Hour later
"Sincere, can you try opening your eyes for please" The doctor asked after repatching his hand.
"K-Kenny" He raspily said lifting his hand.
"What about her" She asked changing his IV bag.
"I w-want Kenny" He mumbled tapping the bed.
"Could you come over here Miss Kenny" She asked looking back at me. I stood up and walked over softly grabbing his hand.
"Please open your eye handsome" I said rubbing his face again. He leaned into my hand and slowly opened his eyes. He looked at me for a second before squeezing them back shut. "The light are too bright; he won't be able to keep them open" I told her.
"Okay, I'll turn them off and open the curtains" She said walking around the bed.
"Try again Baby Boy" I mumbled looking down at him. He slowly opened them again, staring at me this time. he cleared his throat and blink a few times.
"Kenny" He mumbled before looking around.
"Yes Honey" I asked brushing his hair.
"Water please" He said looking up at the ceiling.
"I'll be right back with a cup of water" The nurse said walking out.
"You're so handsome" I told him sitting on the bed next to him, he slowly shook his head no making me frown. "Yes, you are" I said rubbing his beard.
2 Hours Later
"Why don't you believe me when I tell you that you're handsome" I asked while feeding him.
"I've never been handsome enough to love, handsome enough to have sex with and use for money tho" He lowly said before opening his mouth again.
"I think you're worthy of loving, beyond sex" I told him wiping his mouth.
"Nobody wants a clingy ass grown man up under them all the time, I have abandonment issue, and mommy issues" He said making me shrug.
"So, that doesn't mean you don't deserve love... It just means you need someone mature and understanding" I told him tossing the apple sauce cup in the trash.
"Well, I don't think anybody will in this to lifetime, and that's fine" He sighed looking down at his hands. "I'm used to it" He added looking up at me.
"I promise you someone will" I softly smiled grabbing his hand. "I'm taking you home with me" I told him rubbing his arm.
"No, I don't need to burden y'all" He said looking over at Mel, who was taking a nap.
"I wasn't asking Sincere; I've been thinking about you since that night" I told him staring at his hand. "I'm not letting you go back out there" I said looking up at him
"Why do you care, you don't even know me" He asked looking down at our hands.
"That doesn't mean I don't or can't care about you, I've been here since you got here. Taking care of you, watching over you, and praying over you... everyday" I said grabbing his chin. "I will not be told when or how to care, understand" I asked holding eye contact.
"Yes" He mumbled as his eyes got low.
"Are you sleepy" I asked tracing his arm tattoos.
"Yeah, i think the medicine is starting to kick in, this bed is uncomfortable tho" He frowned turning his head.
"You'll be out soon" I told his rubbing his face with my other hand. "Well, we're gonna go, so you can rest. We'll be here when you wake up in the morning okay" I asked standing up.
"You promise" He asked peaking at me.
"I promise, I'm gonna bring you breakfast and some comfortable clothes" I told him with a small smile.
"Okay, goodnight" He mumbled closing his eye,
"Goodnight, Handsome" I said watching Mel gather her things.
"Goodnight Sincere" She said as we walked to the door.
"Goodnight Mel" He said adjusting his pillows.
"I can't wait to shop for him, I hate those ugly ass hospital clothes" I told Mel as we walked out of the hospital.
"I can't wait to see what you pick" She said getting in the car.
"I'm getting him some Chanel Bleu, only fine men should wear it" I smiled while pulling out of the lot.
"Oooh okay" She giggled letting her seatback.
"He doesn't think he's loveable" I sighed shaking my head.
"Aww Sin" She pouted holding her hand over her heart. "You'll have to prove him wrong" She said smiling.
"Maybe, he could someone else that he likes in the future. We talked about this already Mel" I chuckled running my fingers through my hair. "Just because I'm attracted to him doesn't mean he's attracted to me" I sighed making her scoff and shake her head.
