Alice's POV :

The kiss, brief and electrifying, was still

lingering in my thoughts. Adele's lips had

barely brushed against mine, but the

impact was undeniable. It felt as though

that moment had opened a floodgate of

emotions, which I was struggling to

contain. Every time I thought about it,

my heart would race, and I'd replay the

scene over and over, trying to make

sense of what it meant.

Adele's demeanor had always been

confident and assertive, and her actions

since that kiss had only intensified the

effect she had on me. I found myself

eagerly anticipating our next meetings,

our conversations laced with a flirtatious

undertone that neither of us explicitly

addressed but both felt deeply.

Her birthday party was a perfect

example. The celebration took place in

an elegant restaurant, and Adele looked

every bit the part in a sharply tailored

suit. The vest she wore was impeccably

fitted, highlighting her authoritative

presence while somehow adding to her

allure. She moved with a natural grace

As I mingled among the guests, it was

Jamie, a guest I hadn't seen before,

approached me. Tall and handsome with

an easy charm, he seemed to have a

said, his gaze lingering on me with an
