Alice's POV :

Time passed, and with it, the shadows

that had once loomed over our

relationship began to dissipate. We

started anew, rebuilding our lives

together with a focus on the joy of what

was to come. Adele and I embraced the

pregnancy with open arms, finding

happiness in the small, everyday

moments that we had once taken for

granted.

The first few weeks after our

reconciliation were a whirlwind of

emotions. We were both cautious at first,

careful not to slip back into old patterns,

but as the days turned into weeks, a new

strawberries," I confessed, feeling a bit

foolish.

Adele blinked, processing my words.

Then, to my surprise, she smiled, leaned

over, and pressed a kiss to my forehead.

"Strawberries it is," she said, and before I

could protest, she was already out of

bed, pulling on her jeans and a jacket.

"You don't have to go," I called after her,

feeling guilty for dragging her out of bed.

"It's the middle of the night!"

She turned to me, her expression

softening. "Alice, you're carrying our

child. If you want strawberries, I'll get

you strawberries-no matter what time

it is." She walked over, kissed me again,
