Adele's POV :

Three months had passed since our

conversation about moving in together,

and I had tried my best to be patient. I

gave Alice the space she asked for,

continued to show her how much I loved

her in every possible way, and hoped she

would eventually realize that we

belonged together-under one roof. But

despite all the time that had passed, Alice

still kept me at arm's length when it

came to living arrangements.

I knew her hesitation wasn't about us,

not really. She loved me-I had no doubt

about that. But her fear of losing herself,

of losing control, was still there,

lingering in the background of our

relationship. And as much as I tried to be

understanding, my patience was wearing

thin.

I wanted her with me, always. I was tired

of the goodbyes at the end of the night,

tired of waking up alone when all I

wanted was to have her by my side. We

were in love, deeply, madly in love, and

it was time for us to take the next step. So

I decided to give Alice a gentle push-or

maybe not so gentle. I was done waiting.

It started with a plan. I knew Alice was

looking for a new place to live. Her

current apartment was too small, and

she had mentioned in passing that her

landlord was raising the rent again. But

every time I offered a solution-my place

-she would brush it off, saying she

would figure it out on her own.

That's when I decided to take matters

into my own hands. I made a few calls,

pulled a few strings, and set things in

motion. If Alice was going to be stubborn

about this, I would just have to

outmaneuver her. I would make sure her

options were limited, leaving her with

only one clear choice-moving in with

me.

It wasn't hard to arrange. I had enough

connections to ensure that any other

potential rentals would fall through, that

she would find herself in a situation

where moving into my home was the
