                                                                            Mayuami

I woke up with a start, my heart racing and my sheets drenched in sweat. I looked around, disoriented, and realized I was in my own bed. But how did I get here? I didn't remember coming home.

The memories of the previous night were hazy, but I recalled meeting Luka and feeling an intense connection. Then...nothing. It was as if my mind had blocked out the rest.

I tried to shake off the feeling of unease, telling myself it was just a weird dream. I got out of bed and stumbled to the bathroom, desperate for a shower to clear my foggy mind.

As the warm water cascaded down my body, I began to relax. Maybe it was just a strange night, and everything would go back to normal once I got some caffeine in my system.

I got out of the shower, wrapped myself in a towel, and reached for my phone. That's when I saw the piece of paper on my nightstand. A small note with a cryptic message scrawled on it: "Be careful, Mayuami. He's not what he seems."

My heart skipped a beat. Who wrote this? And how did they get into my room? I felt a chill run down my spine as I wondered if someone had been in my room while I slept.

Just then, my phone rang. It was Destiny, my best friend.

"Hey, girl! How's it going?" Destiny's cheerful voice was a stark contrast to my growing unease.

"I...I don't know," I stammered, trying to process the strange note and my hazy memories. "I woke up in my bed, but I don't remember getting home last night. And there's this weird note on my nightstand."

Destiny's tone turned concerned. "What's going on? You sound really shaken up. Do you want me to come over?"

I hesitated, unsure how much to reveal. "No, I'll be okay. I just...I don't know what happened last night."

Destiny's voice was gentle. "We'll figure it out together, Mayuami. Meet me at the coffee shop at 2 pm, and we'll try to piece together what happened."

I nodded, even though she couldn't see me. "Okay. Thanks, Destiny."

As I hung up the phone, I couldn't shake off the feeling that something was off. And the note on my nightstand seemed to be watching me, its words echoing in my mind: "Be careful, Mayuami. He's not what he seems." But who was "he"? And what did they want from me?

I arrived at the coffee shop early, my mind racing with questions. Destiny was already there, sipping on a latte.

"Hey, girl! You look like you've seen a ghost...or my ex's new haircut," Destiny said with a chuckle.

I rolled my eyes. "Shut up, Destiny. This is serious."

"Okay, okay, I'll be serious...for a minute," Destiny said, grinning.

I hesitated, unsure where to start. "I don't know what happened last night. I remember going out with you guys, and then...nothing. I woke up in my bed with no memory of how I got there."

Destiny's expression turned concerned, but she couldn't resist adding, "Well, at least you didn't wake up with a tattoo of my face on your butt...that's progress, right?"

I glared at her. "Destiny, focus! And no, I didn't get a tattoo of your face on my butt, you idiot."

Destiny held up her hands in mock defense. "Okay, okay, I'll behave. So, what's this note you found?"

I handed her the piece of paper. "It says to be careful, that Luka's not what he seems."

Destiny's eyes scanned the note, her expression growing serious. "Luka? Never heard of him. Sounds like a vampire or something."

I threw up my hands. "This isn't funny, Destiny! Someone's messing with me, and I don't know what's going on."

Destiny's grin faltered, and she reached out to put a hand on my arm. "Hey, I'm sorry. I'll be serious, I promise. Let's figure out what happened " .

"Okay, let's start from the beginning," Destiny said, her expression serious. "What's the last thing you remember from last night?"

I thought back, trying to piece together the fragments of my memory. "I remember we were at the bar, and then...I don't know, it's all fuzzy. I think I might have gone outside with someone, but I don't know who."

Destiny's eyes narrowed. "Outside? Like, to smoke or something?"

I shook my head. "I don't know. It's all so unclear. But then I woke up this morning with this note on my nightstand."

Destiny's gaze turned thoughtful. "This Luka guy must be someone you met last night. But why would someone write you a warning note about him?"

I threw up my hands. "That's what I'm trying to figure out! And why can't I remember anything?"

Destiny's expression turned mischievous again. "Well, maybe you're just getting old and your memory is going."

I glared at her. "Shut up, Destiny. This isn't funny."

Destiny held up her hands in mock defense.

"Alright, let's get out of here and clear your mind," Destiny said, tossing a few bucks on the table. "Shopping therapy, here we come!"

I raised an eyebrow. "Shopping? Really?"

Destiny nodded enthusiastically. "Yes, really! Retail therapy is a thing, Mayuami. Trust me."

I sighed, but followed her out of the coffee shop. As we walked down the street, I couldn't shake the feeling that someone was watching me. I glanced around, but saw nothing out of the ordinary.

"Hey, Destiny?" I said, tugging on her arm. "Do you see that guy over there?"

Destiny followed my gaze, but shook her head. "Which guy? I don't see anyone suspicious."

I frowned, trying to get a better look. "The one with the dark hair...I think I've seen him before."

Destiny raised an eyebrow. "Oh, you mean the hot guy with the piercing eyes? Yeah, I don't see him either...but I wish I did."

I rolled my eyes. "Shut up, Destiny. This isn't funny."

Destiny chuckled. "Oh, come on, Mayuami! You're so serious all the time. Lighten up!"

I glared at her. "I'm trying to figure out who this guy is and why I think I know him, and you're making jokes?"

Destiny held up her hands in mock defense. "Okay, okay, I'll be serious...for a minute. But if we don't find any clues, can we at least get some ice cream?"

I threw up my hands. "You're impossible, Destiny!"
