Luka
I pushed Mayuami into the house, my grip on her arm still tight. As we entered the living room, I saw my father sitting on the couch, a scotch in his hand. He looked up at us, his eyes narrowing as he took in Mayuami's tear-stained face and my own tense expression.
"Ah, welcome home," he said, his voice dripping with malice. "I see you've had a...enlightening time together."
Mayuami tried to shake off my grip, but I held tight. I could feel her trembling with fear, and for once, I didn't enjoy it.
"What's going on here?" my father asked, his eyes flicking between us.
"Nothing," I said, my voice neutral. "Just a little...disagreement."
My father's gaze lingered on Mayuami, his expression twisted in disgust. "I see," he said. "Well, in any case, I'm glad you're home. We have...business to discuss."
I felt Mayuami's trembles increase, and for a moment, I considered shielding her from my father's wrath. But then I remembered who I was, and what I had to do.
"Let's get on with it," I said, pushing Mayuami towards my father.
As we approached, my father's smile grew , and I knew we were in for a long, painful night.

My father's smile grew wider as we approached. "Well, well, well. Look what we have here. The little prisoner, all tear-stained and pathetic."Mayuami's eyes flashed with anger, but she said nothing.
"And what's with the hair?" my father sneered. "You look like a mess. A real-life Medusa."
I felt Mayuami's trembles increase, and something inside me snapped. "Shut up," I growled, my fists clenched.
My father's eyes narrowed. "Oh, Luka's defending his little plaything. How sweet."
I took a step forward, my heart racing. "Leave her alone."
My father laughed. "Or what? You'll do something? You're nothing but a weak little boy, Luka."
And then, he punched me. I felt a blinding pain in my face, and everything went black.
When I came to, I was lying on the floor, my head throbbing. Mayuami was beside me, her eyes filled with concern.
"Luka, oh my god, I was so scared," she whispered, her hands on my face.
I tried to sit up, but a wave of pain washed over me. Mayuami helped me lie back down, her touch gentle.
"My father..." I muttered.
Mayuami's expression darkened. "He's gone. He warned me...he said if I ever tried to escape, he'd make me suffer."
I felt a surge of anger, but it was tempered by my own helplessness. I was trapped, just like Mayuami.
Mayuami stayed with me the whole night, her eyes never leaving mine. She held my hand, her touch warm and comforting.

Mayuami helped me to my bed, her touch gentle as she pulled the covers over me. I winced in pain as I settled in, my jaw throbbing.
She finished dressing my wound , her movements quiet and efficient. As she turned to leave, I called out to her.
"Hey," I said, my voice rough. "Stay."
Mayuami turned back to me, her eyes wary. "What?"
"Stay," I repeated, my tone mean. "I don't want to be alone right now."
