Ch. 27 ~ Finnley Wales

"Aldrich? What are you doing here?"

"Ghal let's go"

While Fynn held his hand, Ghalib remained
motionless. He was curious as to why Aldrich was following him.

"Why are you following Fynn? What do you want from him?"

Aldrich claimed to be Fynn's father and gavehim the DNA test paper.

"I am your father, and I wanted you to know that I want you to live with me."

"Huh???wait I don't understand, Fynn tell me he's joking"

Fynn handed him back the paper and
grabbed Ghalib's hands.

"How dare you tell me you're my father? I don't even want to know who you really are. Please, I'm happy with where I am right now, and don't try to ruin it."

Despite Aldrich's attempts to stop him, he
immediately dragged Ghalib to his car.

"Let's go Ghal"

Ghalib can't resist asking him about the DNA test while he's driving.

"Fynn, there's something you want to tell?"

"Ghal"

Downhearted,Fynn cannot stop himself
from crying.

"He raped my mom, which led her to kill
herself after giving birth to me."

"Huh???"

Ghalib pulled over and gave him a quick
glance.

"Presley is not my brother; he's my uncle."

"Huh? I'm confused."

"Presley has an older sister. She's my mother,Finnley. He was 10 years old when my mom was in college. She's taking journalism too."

"So you are taking up journalism because of your mom?"

Fynn gave a nod.

"Mom's dream school is DCU (Dublin City University), our school right now. She got a scholarship and was able to live here in the city. She's smart and beautiful. That's why everyone has a crush on her, but mom's main focus is to graduate college first before going into a relationship. Unfortunately, there's a guy who happened to be obsessed with her. He tried to pursue her. Mom didn't like him and was frightened of him, but he didn't stop till he abducted and abused her for weeks."

"Fynn sorry"

"She's too scared to tell everyone that she's being raped by him because he introduced her to his friends as a girlfriend, and aside from that, he came from a prominent family. Mom kept it for himself and tried to divert herself on studying, but unluckily, she can't escape from his evilness when mom finds out that she's carrying his baby."

Fynn took a moment to gather himself
before continuing.

"She's about to graduate from college Ghal, but she can't bear the embarrassment she felt that knowing everyone will discover her pregnancy, so without a word, she stopped studying and went back to Donegal. My grandparents keep her and her pregnancy to people. Mom didn't go out and hide herself from everyone till she gave birth to me. After seeing me with her own eyes, she went mad and took her own life."

"Huh? She killed herself?"

Fynn nodded.

"The worst is that mom still hates me before he takes her own life"

"Don't say that. no parents can hate their
children"

"But mom died because of me"

"Not you, Fynn...maybe she killed herself
because she didn't want you to know her
frailty
