STARDUST

can you bring me a bottle of stardust? it'll twinkle, shimmer, and glisten. i promise to speak with it at night, and i'll keep it under lunar light. even house it on my windowsill, especially on a bright full night. to think, a piece of you would be returning home to me.

maybe even one day i will plant it in the garden you kept your chrysanthemums in. bury the roots, the fallen petals. crunchier than autumn leaves.

i didn't mean to let them whither, i just couldn't get out of bed.
