July 31, 1962, Cat eyes Casino, Las Vegas

Samantha looked in the mirror, all she saw was a girl with dark skin, golden eyes, thick and curly black hair, a long sleeved red and black stripped shirt, black pants, and black sneakers. That person wasn't her, she wanted to be someone else "Sam, sweetie dinner!" her mom called downstairs "Ya c'n do this sam, just tell 'im who you really are. Mom supports you so he'll support you too" she whispered to herself as she walked downstairs. When she got downstairs she saw her dad drinking "Princess you ready for dinner?" then Samantha started crying "Baby, what's wrong?" he asked walking over to her  "Don't call me princess daddy, it feels wrong..." "If princess doesn't work for you. Is there something that works for you?" he asked "I'm glad you asked, it's he instead of her. And I've never been your daughter... I'm actually your son." her dad looked at her then smiled "Ok so we'll change your name, hair, and those dresses can go away."her dad said. She hugged her dad "Thank you..." she whispered, with tears in her eyes.

July 31, 1964, Cat eyes Casino, Las Vegas

Anthony knocked on Samuel's door "Sammy." "Yeah?" Samuel said "Are ya coming?" "I'll be there in a minute.". 5 minutes later, Samuel still wasn't out yet, making Anthony worried "Sam I comin' in." "No Anthony don't!". Anthony opened the door to see Samuel wearing black slacks, black dress shoes, and trying to put a black binder on"Samuel... Are you ok?" Anthony asked when he saw tears in Samuel's eyes "I have a confession..." Anthony looked at him "I'm... Trans..." Anthony looked at him and hugged him tightly "Sam... I got you. It's ok." Samuel hugged him back with tears in his eyes "Thank you..." "Ya need help with your binder Sammy?" Samuel nodded. Anthony help him put it on then help him put on a white dress shirt "there we go. Feel better?" Samuel nodded and hugged Anthony, Anthony smiled and kissed his forehead "Anthony..." "Yeah?" "Do you love me?"  Anthony let go of him to cup his face in his hands "Samuel I love you, not because of your gender, but because of you. I love you, never doubt it." Samuel kissed Anthony who kissed back. Anthony pulled away after a few seconds "Anyway, we should get going." Samuel nodded and walked out of the room, holding Anthony's hand.

Present day

husk hugged angel close then whispered in his ear "Tesoro..." angel looked up at him "Yeah?" "Do you love me?" angel looked at him, sighed and got up to grab a blanket from the basket "Gattino... I love you, why did ya doubt it?" husk sighed "I just... I was bullied for being trans by other kids... And as an adult, people always told 'You're a girl, so act like you'. Even down here some people still said 'This is just a phase you're gonna outgrow'. And I don't know. It's like I can't even escape it down here..." angel looked at him, sympathetically "Husky..." husk looked at him with tears in his eyes as angel walked over to him, put the blanket on the floor near the couch, and sat in his lap "Baby you are so beautiful. I know it's hard, I might not understand what it's like bein' trans, but baby you are so beautiful." angel kissed his nose and started caressing his cheeks "Sure you've been treated like shit for being you, but baby you're perfect just the way you are." angel said, taking off husk's shirt and started to caress his top scars "I love your top scars. Ya always want me't be so gentle with 'em." angel started gently kissing husk's top scars making him purr "I know what I'm sayin' isn't gonna fix what people say't ya, but I whatcha't know that you are so handsome baby. Every single inch of your body. I love you, so fuckin' much.". 

Angel's words brought tears to husk's eyes, angel stood up and sat down on the couch, and opened his arms "C'mere basettoni." husk crawled toward him and shoved his face into angel's chest fluff, angel hugged husk close, grabbing the blanket, that had a trans flag design and put it over him "Thank you..." husk whispered. Angel lifted up his face, frowning when he saw the tears "Aw, my poor baby." angel said, letting husk shove his face back into his fluff. Angel kissed his forehead then started singing as soft piano music played from his phone (The intro is from The Village by Wrabel)

Angel:"No, your mom don't get it and your dad don't get it. Uncle John don't get it"

Angel:"And you can't tell grandma 'cause her heart can't take it. And she might not make it"

Angel started stroking husk's ears

Angel:"They say 'Don't dare, don't you even go there. Cutting off your long hair, you do as you're told'"

Angel:"Tell you, 'Wake up, go put on your makeup. This is just a phase you're gonna outgrow'"

Husk felt tears in his eyes

Angel:"There's something wrong in the village, in the village, oh"

Angel:"they stare in the village, in the village, oh"

Angel lifted husk's head and put their foreheads together

Angel:"There's nothing wrong with you, it's true, it's true"

Angel:"There's something wrong with the village, with the village"

Angel:"There's something wrong with the village"

Angel turned off the music and wiped away husk's tears "Thank you... I love you..." husk whispered, looking up at angel, who smiled "I love you too.". Husk nuzzled angel's chest fluff "You made this yourself?" husk asked, gesturing at the blanket over him "Yeah. Don't worry I didn't make copies. It's just for you."angel said, tapping his nose. Husk smiled "Thanks... I love it." angel smiled and started stroking his hair "I love you Sammy, never doubt that. Promise?" husk looked at him and nodded "Promise.". Angel smiled "C'n we stay like this for a while..." husk asked "You got it.".
