august 25th, 2015

blake lively hosted her birthday party at her mansion, she had invited her close friends including taylor while ryan, blake's husband, had invited his friend travis. taylor wasn't thrilled about travis being there, she had approached him a few times during the party and she found him arrogant and self-centered. when she got a moment alone with blake, she didn't hesitate to share her feelings.

"blake, i have to tell you, i really don't like travis," taylor whispered.

"he's so full of himself. when we first talked, all he did was talk about himself and football. he didn't even ask me a single thing about myself."

blake sighed, "i'm sorry, tay. ryan insisted on inviting him. just try to avoid him if you can."

two hours later, taylor was mingling with other guests when travis approached her again. "hey, what's your name again?" he asked, clearly having had a few too many drinks.

taylor forced a smile, "hi travis, it's nice to see you again. i'm taylor."

travis looked confused, "oh, right. sorry."

taylor couldn't believe it. "yeah, um so how's the football season going?" she asked, trying to be polite.

travis launched into another long story about his latest game, completely oblivious to taylor's lack of interest. she nodded along, her mind wandering elsewhere.

after a while, travis excused himself to get another drink. taylor watched as he stumbled away, shaking her head in disbelief. she found blake and pulled her aside.

"blake, he just asked my name again! can you believe that?" taylor exclaimed.

blake laughed, "oh tay, i'm so sorry. he's really not that bad once you get to know him, but i understand if you're not feeling it."

"honestly, i think he's had too much to drink. he just left to get another one," taylor said, rolling her eyes.

"well, let's just enjoy the rest of the night," blake suggested. "forget about travis and have some fun."

taylor smiled, "you're right. let's enjoy tonight."

as the night went on, taylor stood up to give her speech about how much she loves blake, the room quieted down. she took a deep breath and began.

"blake, you are one of the most amazing people i know. your kindness, your humor, and your support mean the world to me. i am so grateful to have you in my life, you helped me at some of my lowest points, and i just can't wait to make more memories together."

just as taylor was about to continue, travis shouted, "shout out to taylor mother fucking swift!" and then promptly threw up in a nearby plant. the room fell silent and all eyes turned to travis. some people gasped, others just stared in shock.

"oh my god, what is happening?" a person muttered, trying to suppress a laugh.

ryan quickly stepped in, "alright, let's get you home."

travis whined, "no, we haven't even cut the cake yet!" the filled with a mix of awkward laughter and confused glances, as if they weren't sure whether to laugh or be concerned.

ryan sighed, "i'll save you some cake, i promise. let's just get you home."

"but i don't wanna miss the fun!" travis protested.

"trust me, you'll thank me later," ryan replied, guiding him toward the door.

travis finally agreed, though he still wasn't happy about it. as ryan helped him out the door, taylor tried to regain her composure and continue her speech.

"well, that was... something," someone said, breaking the silence.

"yeah, let's just pretend that didn't happen," another person said, and the room filled with nervous laughter as taylor resumed her speech.
