**Chapter 6**
As the afternoon wore on, Abraxas and Harden arrived to collect the kids for some quality family time. Adam and Emmy, brimming with excitement, quickly bid farewell to their parents. “Love you, Mom, Dad,” they said, planting quick kisses on both Lucius and Rodolphus before hurrying off with their grandparents.Rodolphus, feeling the exhaustion settle in, sank deeper into the couch. He shifted around, trying to find a comfortable position, then turned his gaze toward Rabastan with a pleading look in his eyes.
Rabastan, who had been watching the kids leave, caught Rodolphus's expression and groaned dramatically. “Oh, come on, Roddy,” he said with feigned exasperation. “Not the puppy eyes.”
Rodolphus pouted slightly, turning the look up a notch. Rabastan rolled his eyes but ultimately gave in, sitting down beside Rodolphus on the couch. He wrapped an arm around his brother's shoulders, allowing Rodolphus to lean against him, offering the comfort Rodolphus silently craved.
Lucius, watching this scene unfold, couldn’t help but smirk. “No one can resist those pleading eyes,” he teased, crossing his arms. “I know I can’t.”
Rabastan sighed, still pretending to be put out, even as he adjusted his arm to be more comfortable for Rodolphus. “You’re whipped,” he said, smirking at Lucius. “I mean, just look at you two. It’s disgusting.”
Rodolphus chuckled softly. “Says the one who came running the moment I gave him the look,” he murmured, a mischievous glint in his eye.
Lucius raised an eyebrow, leaning against the doorframe with a grin. “You know, Rabastan, those eyes have led to some rather... interesting situations,” he said, his tone light and teasing.
Rabastan groaned dramatically, rolling his eyes. “No, no, no. I really don’t want to think about that.”
From across the room, Abraxas laughed. “Rabastan, what are you, twelve? You’ve heard worse from the Slytherin common room.”
Harden smirked, joining in. “He just can’t handle the idea of his big brother being all grown up and... romantic.”
Rabastan made a face, feigning horror. “Romantic is fine,” he said, throwing a pillow at Lucius. “But there are some things a brother doesn’t need to hear about!”
Lucius easily dodged the pillow, still laughing. “Oh, come on, it’s not like I’m giving you a play-by-play. We’re just talking about innocent cuddling.” He winked at Rodolphus, who was clearly enjoying Rabastan's discomfort.
Rodolphus grinned lazily, looking up at his brother with amusement. “You know, Rab, those kissing lessons back in the day were quite helpful. They led to some... well, let’s just say, enlightening experiences.”
Rabastan’s eyes widened in shock. “Wait, you mean... Lucius was your first?” he asked, his voice tinged with disbelief.
Lucius nodded with a smug smile. “Of course. We were inseparable from the start. It was only natural that we explored... a bit more together.”
Rabastan looked utterly horrified. “Oh, for Merlin’s sake! I don’t need these mental images!” he exclaimed, dramatically covering his ears.
Rodolphus laughed, clearly relishing his brother’s reaction. “Relax, Rab. It’s not like you weren’t off doing the same with your first crush.”
Lucius chimed in with a grin. “Besides, you were the one who taught me how to kiss. You set this all in motion, dear brother.”
Rabastan groaned again, clearly flustered. “I’m never giving kissing lessons again. Ever.”
Lucius laughed and moved to help Rodolphus up from the couch. “Alright, enough teasing for now. Let’s get some lunch.”
Rodolphus took Lucius’s offered hand and stood up slowly, stretching. “You’re always so helpful, Lucius. I don’t know what I’d do without you.”
Lucius smiled warmly, pressing a quick kiss to Rodolphus’s temple. “And you’ll never have to find out,” he said softly, guiding Rodolphus toward the dining room.
Rabastan followed them, still grumbling under his breath. The table was already set, and Lucius watched with a fond smile as Rodolphus made a beeline for his latest craving: cream cheese tomato bites with lots of garlic. Rodolphus savored each bite, his face lighting up with pleasure.
Lucius watched him, unable to resist trying a bite himself. “You know, this isn’t half bad,” he said, taking another.
Rodolphus playfully nudged him. “Hey, those are mine! Get your own weird cravings.”
Rabastan eyed the dish with suspicion. “You actually like that?” he asked Lucius, incredulous.
Lucius shrugged. “It’s not as strange as some things I’ve eaten during cravings.”
Rodolphus smirked. “See, Lucius understands. We’re in this together.”
Rabastan shook his head. “You two are perfect for each other,” he said, his voice laced with mock disgust. “Weird food cravings and all.”
Rodolphus smiled warmly at Lucius, his eyes shining with love. “That we are.”
The rest of the meal passed with light-hearted teasing and laughter, the room filled with warmth and a sense of belonging. As they sat together, surrounded by the comfort of family, Lucius felt a deep sense of peace. Despite the challenges and the teasing, this was where he belonged—right here, with the people he loved most.
