MACKENZIE AND THE OTHERS woke up early the next morning and set out for the water almost immediately. The Pogues were itching to get out there and find the wreck and the gold Big John had left behind.

JJ was resided in the cabin, controlling the direction of the boat whilst Kiara and Mackenzie were left in charge of the tether length. Pope and John B controlled the drone—sorry, ROV.

"Alright, JJ. Pin it here."

"Rodger that! X marks the spot." JJ turned the wheel while John B realeased the drone into the water.

"Alright, JJ, we're right over it. Ten seconds northwest," instructed John B as he held the screen which portrayed the wreck's coordinates.

JJ nodded. "Got it! Ten seconds northwest."

Kiara continued to let the tether go before arriving on the first marker. "One hundred feet!" Mackenzie chalked a dash on the boat as she continued to watch the tether

Pope gasped, making everyones attention avert to him. Mackenzie's head snapped around and John B leaned over Pope's shoulder, eager to find something. "What? What, what, what, what?"

Pope shook it head. "It was nothing."

Mackenzie's head fell back in a groan before shaking her head. "Jesus, don't do that to me, dude."

"Four hundred feet!"

Mackenzie wrote the tally, her eyes narrowing on the waves as they enlarge in the water, followed by head rising from the sound of the rumbling thunder. "The tides turning," Mackenzie shouts.

"Hey, JJ?" John B called out. "Ten seconds easy. South-southeast."

"Copy that!" JJ turned the wheel, making Mackenzie stumbled slightly with the movement of the boar.

"JJ, twenty seconds mid-speed, alright? South."

"Copy that. Aye, aye."

The weather outside raged on and the boat rocked back and fourth, which made it more difficult for Kiara to hold on. "Keep the tether out of the prop," JJ said.

"I'm trying!"

Mackenzie reached forward, grabbing ahold of the tether as she and Kiara attempted to get a handle on the worsening current.

"JJ, keep going!"

Mackenzie's head turned to the sky, which had darkening clouds and growing thunder. Her eyes, turned back to the waves in the water. Her grip tightened on the drone tether.

"John B, is that good?"

"We're good!"

"Seven hundred feet!" Kiara called out as Mackenzie marked it with a piece of chalk.
