Too Young

Moms are good

Jensen arrived about 15 minutes after him and Addy spoke. It was obvious that he was uneasy about something. Gen got home about 5 minutes after Jensen.
"Addy! Your mother's here!" Jared called.
"Coming!" Addy yelled in response.
Addy was unaware that Jensen was already there.
"Oh hi Jensen." Addy said with an obviously forced smile.
"Hey kiddo!" Jensen said with a smile that didn't look as forced.
"So mom can I talk to you for a minute?" Addy asked Gen.
"Yeah for sure sweetie!" Gen said, glad that Addy wanted to talk to her about something and not Jared or Jensen.
Addy and Genevieve went up to Addy's room.
"What's up sweetie?" Gen asked.
"Um... well... err," Addy couldn't quite form the words, "Well... I mean you probably know this but... you know... I have a... um... crush on Jensen." Addy said the last part kinda fast.
Genevieve chuckled a little, "Oh sweetie, me and your father have know that for about 4 years now."
"Wait what? I've only known I've liked him for like 2 years!" Addy said, confused.
"Parents know before the kids, that's how it always is." Gen said, calmly.
"Yeah I've heard that before." Addy said referring to the multiple other times Gen and Jared have said that line to her.
"Anything else? Thomas and Shepherd are in their rooms waiting for me to put them to sleep." Gen said.
"Um well one more thing..." Addy said, nervously.
"What is it?" Genevieve said, happy to listen while she could (aka before the boys start to cry).
"Well Jensen kissed me, okay glad that's out! Gotta go now, see you later!" Addy said quickly and started to get up to leave.
"Woah! Woah! Woah! No come back here!" Gen said, confused.
"Yes mother?" Addy said, nervously.
"He what? Do I need to kick his ass?" Gen asked, being completely serious.
"No mom, it's okay. I mean it was startling but I don't remember protesting in any way so I'm also to blame." Addy said, still nervous.
"You know I'll have to tell your father now don't you?" Genevieve said, now a little more light hearted.
"No please don't!" Addy exclaimed.
"I really do have to tell him Addy, I mean, it's his best friend! He's gonna want to know if he was hitting on his 13 year old daughter." Gen explained.
"Yeah I guess your right." Addy said, "Are you mad?"
"Mad? Why the hell would I be mad?" Gen replied.
"I don't know, just thought you would be." Addy said, and shrugged her shoulders.
"Well I'm not don't worry. I've gotta go put Thomas and Shepherd to sleep, you don't have to go downstairs if you don't want because Jensen's down there, but I'm sure everyone would like it if you did." Genevieve said, and gave Addy a hug.
And with that, Gen went to put the boys to sleep and Addy decided to face her "fear" and go downstairs.
"Hey Addy!" Jared said, happy to see her considering he hasn't actually sat with her and just hung out in days.
"Hey dad!" Addy said back, imitating his tone of voice, "Hi Jensen." Addy said, flashing him a small smile.
"Hey Addy." Jensen replied, returning her smile.
This was already off to an awkward start.
