Lucy's POV:

"Kei, do you want to go on a date with me?"Keira's eyes got big and her mouth fell open slightly. For a moment, everything was silent, the world seemed to stand still while I waited for her answer.

Then a wide smile broke through on her face. "Luce, I thought you would never ask," she said with a chuckle. She leaned towards me and gave me a soft kiss on my lips.

"Yes, of course I will," she whispered against my lips.

I felt a wave of relief and joy flow through me. This was the moment I had so longed for, and it was perfect. We stayed on the bench for a while longer, enjoying each other's company and the peace of the park.

Then we headed home hand in hand, with Narla hopping ahead, as if she knew what was happening between us.

Keira's POV:
The next morning, I felt strangely cold as I slowly woke up. I stretched out my hand to the empty spot next to me, where Lucy normally lay. But there was only a cold blank. For a moment, a fear shot through me. Had I dreamt all this? Was she gone?

Just as I wanted to crawl out of bed to look for her, I heard the door open softly. There stood Lucy, with a broad smile on her face and a tray in her hands. Breakfast in bed.

"Good morning, sleeper," she said in a warm, cheerful voice. "I thought you could use some breakfast."

I felt a wave of relief and joy surge through me. "Luce," I whispered, my voice still hoarse from sleep, "you don't have to spoil me like this."

She carefully set the tray down on the bed and sat down next to me. "Too late," she said with a wink. "I've already squeezed oranges, made pancakes and found your favourite syrup."

I couldn't help but laugh. "You really are crazy, you know that?"

Lucy laughed softly and shrugged her shoulders. "Crazy about you," she replied, holding out a bunch of grapes towards me. "And besides, you deserve it."

My heart melted at her words. I took her hand and squeezed it gently, grateful for this small moment of happiness. "Thank you, Luce," I said, taking a bite of the pancakes. "This is really sweet of you."

Lucy smiled, satisfied, and leaned a little closer to me. "Well, there's something else I need to say," she began, her tone suddenly a little more serious. "I know we're taking this one step at a time, but I want you to know that I mean this."

I felt my heart beat faster and looked straight at her. "I know, Luce."

She leaned forward and pressed a kiss to my forehead. "Good," she whispered, "because I have no intention of losing you again."

The sun shone softly through the curtains, the light falling perfectly on her face. In that moment, everything felt exactly as it should. Lucy was here, with me.

And as I looked at her, I knew I didn't want to be anywhere but here, in this moment, with her.

After breakfast, still enjoying the delicious food and time together, Lucy suddenly looked at me with a twinkle in her eyes. "You need to get ready," she said cheerfully. "We have our date today."

I frowned and set my plate aside. "Today already?" I asked, curious but also a little suspicious. "What do you have planned?"

Lucy shook her head with a mysterious smile. "That, my dear Kei, is a surprise."

I groaned softly. "You know I hate surprises, right?" I said, my voice a mix of teasing and frustration. "I like planning things, being in control."

Lucy leaned forward and put her hand on my knee. "I know, that's what makes it so much fun," she chuckled. "But I promise you're going to like it. Do you trust me?"

I sighed and rolled my eyes, but I couldn't help but smile too. "I trust you, but I swear, Luce, if this is something ridiculous..."

She interrupted me by placing her finger against my lips. "Don't worry, Kei. This is going to be great. So go get changed, because we have to leave in an hour."

"Okay, okay," I finally admitted. "But if it's stupid, you'll be told, you know."

Lucy laughed loudly, her eyes twinkling with pleasure. "That's a deal, Kei Kei. But I promise you, you're going to love it."

Lucy laughed and playfully nudged me towards the wardrobe. "Go get dressed, Walsh. I want to see you downstairs in an hour, ready for an unforgettable day."

With a slight frown but also a small smile on my face, I walked to the wardrobe to get ready. I didn't know exactly what to put on because I had no idea what she had in store for me. But if I knew Lucy well, it would be something special, something typical of her.

As I searched through my closet, I felt a mixture of nerves and excitement run through me. Lucy's surprises were always unique and personal, just like herself. And although a part of me still felt a little hesitant because of the lack of control, I was mostly happy. Glad we were here, glad we could do this, glad I had the chance to be with her - in any way I could.
