Chapter 5: Walmart

Oceane's POV

I followed Alycia wherever she went, from the vegetable section, to the spice section, to the meat section, to the fruit section, to other sections. This girl really knows what she's looking for, even though she hasn't been here for three years, she still seems to remember where each section is.

"You seem to remember very well where each section is, I still get lost even though I've come here many times with my mom" I said to her.

Alycia turned to me, "It's not much different than Walmart in New York or Australia, so it's easy, there's a sign" she said, pointing to the section board where you are now.

'Meat Section'

Alycia then focused again on choosing which meat was good, my eyes also noticed the meat, then suddenly a silly question appeared in my brain.

"Have you ever wondered, what if there is human flesh among these meats?" I asked innocently, but my question seemed to take Alycia by surprise, her eyes widening in surprise, as well as several people who happened to be passing by or standing not far from us, who looked at me with strange looks before walking away and returning to their own stuff.

Did I say something wrong?

"Oceane! What the hell?" Alycia scolded me in a whisper as she slapped my arm.

"What? I just wondering" I said, stroking my arm.

"You're being ridiculous, how could it be like that?"

I shrugged, "Who knows, maybe there are psychopaths who just finished cutting the flesh off their victims and thenㅡ"

Alycia quickly covered my mouth with her hand, "Shut up"

She then smiled at the people watching us, then dragged me away from the meat section, I could only follow her resignedly as she dragged our cart.
When we were far enough away, she removed her hand from my mouth.

She exhaled, "You've seen too many psycho movies"

"They were cool movies"

Alycia shook her head but chuckled, "Wow, you're something else, aren't you?"

I just shrugged with a smile.

"Come on, I have to look for some vegetables and some other stuff" she said.

We walked over to the produce section. We continued to walk through the different sections with me pushing the cart. When we were in the packaged pasta section, my eyes wandered around and i see the toys and games section. Without thinking or telling Alycia, I went straight to that section.

As soon as I got there, my eyes lit up when I saw various action figures of different movie and game characters. Just for your information, every time I go to Walmart with my mom, I always bring home at least one action figure. Childish maybe, but I like it. My eyes were on the Marvel action figures, looking at them one by one, and then my eyes fell on one action figure.

It's Black Widow, my favorite Avengers.
