Chapter 2: She's here

Oceane's POV

I had just gotten out of the shower, after hanging out with Louise on the terrace of the resort for a while, I decided to go home and take a shower because my body was already sticky with sweat. While drying my hair with a towel I checked my phone and found a chat from Oliver.

I forgot to bring the resort key, please pick it up from my room and bring it to the resort, I'm already here with the guests.

You're getting old, that's why you're senile. Old man.

Hurry up, it's not good to keep the guests waiting.

Your fault, old man.

I groaned in annoyance.

I quickly got dressed before taking the resort key from Oliver's room.

"Casper, let's go!" I yelled as I stepped out of the house, not long after Casper, my pet dog, ran after me from behind. I decided to ride my bike so I could get there quickly and not keep your guests waiting too long. Casper ran at the same speed as my bike.

When I arrived, I got off the bike and as I approached the resort I could see a woman sitting on a chair and Oliver standing talking to another woman. I couldn't see her face because she was behind me.

"Oli" I called as I walked up the resort and approached them, Casper walked beside me.

Oliver, the seated girl and the girl with her back to me all turned to me when they heard my voice.

And that's when time feels stop for me, more precisely when I saw the face of that girl. She is smiling at me, that smile, the smile that I had never seen in person since 3 years ago and only saw through social media, was now there in front of me, again.

"Cee" she said, still smiling.

That name. The name I had only heard from him, my nickname, that he was the only person to call me by that name. I was completely stunned to see her in front of me. The person I thought would pass this summer just like before was here.

"Cee, I missed you" the brunette said.

She stepped closer to me, intending to hug me, but my body unconsciously took a step back, avoiding her hand that was about to hug me, my action made her look at me with a somewhat surprised and...what is it...is it sad? I don't know.

Oh shit, those beautiful green eyes.

I avoided the gaze of those green eyes and turned my eyes to Oliver, who was now standing behind the girl.

"What the hell is going on? Oli, where's the guest?"

"She's the guest, she and her friend sitting there, her name is Laura" Oliver said.

I looked at the girl for a moment, she smiled and waved at me.

"Hi, I'm Laura"

I didn't even want to answer, sorry Laura, I didn't mean anything bad, it's just that the situation wasn't conducive.

I looked back at Oliver, still avoiding the green eyes that continued to stare at me.

"Why didn't you tell me she is our guest?" I asked him.

"Becauseㅡ"

"It's my fault, I asked him to keep it a secret from you, I wanted to make it a surprise for you" The girl cut Oliver off as he tried to explain.
