Kinabukasan ay maagang nagising si Kei. He was getting ready, readying his gear and ammunition for the departure. The boat, which was meant to collect them, was already waiting at the designated location.

Kei was meticulously preparing himself in his combat uniform, securing everything in its proper place and tightening the necessary straps when suddenly, Hunt approached him, his commander's presence drawing Kei's attention.

"Good morning, Captain." Bati niya rito.

Tiningnan siya ng Hunt na may seryusong ekspresyon sa mukha. "Valdez, about Carson..."

Kei looked at him innocently, "Axel? What about him?"

Tinaasan ito ng kilay ni Hunt, "Axel?"

Kei nodded, feeling a little confused as to why Hunt looked surprised. "Yeah. Axel Cooper Carson. That's his name, right?"

Hunt was completely taken aback. He couldn't quite wrap his mind around the fact that Axel, who appeared so distant and detached, had willingly shared his name with Kei.

Or maybe Kei just pestered him to.

"He told you his name?" he asked, disbelief in his voice.

Kei nodded in confirmation.

Kahit medyo naguguluhan pa rin ay hindi nalang iyon pinalaki ni Hunt. His focus shifted back to his question, "So about Axel...what do you think about him?"

Kei pondered for a moment before giving his thoughts. "He's definitely a guarded person. Gives off that cold, unapproachable vibe. But there's something about him that makes me think he's not all bad. I mean, he's not a talkative one, I'll give you that. But I think there's more to him than meets the eye."

Kei thought for a moment before continuing. "But then again, that's just my intuition talking."

Hunt acknowledged Kei's words with a nod, and he gave him a firm pat on the shoulder. "Keep an eye on him, Valdez. I have plans for him once we return to the city."

Kei responded with a playful salute, a grin on his face. "No worries, Captain! I'll keep Axel under my watchful eye the whole time. He won't even have time to blink without me noticing it."

Hunt shook his head at him. "Aalis na tayo, go and get him."

Tumango si Kei at tumalikod para puntahan ang silid na pinaglagyan nila kay Axel. Nang pumasok siya doon ay nagtama ang kanilang mga paningin.

Axel's penetrating gaze was as cold and emotionless as ever. His face was completely void of expression, leaving Kei guessing at what might be going on in his mind.

"Morning," Kei greeted cheerfully, undeterred by Axel's expressionless stare.

Axel remained stoic, barely acknowledging Kei's friendly greeting.

Kei moved closer to Axel and gestured for him to stand up. "Pinapatawag ka na ni Captain Cassidy. Time to depart."

Axel stood up reluctantly, the weight of unpredictability growing heavier with each passing moment. He had been mulling over the possibilities the entire night, wondering about what might happen to him now that Hunt wanted him brought back to the city.

Axel's mind swirled with the desire to escape, but he knew the current situation seemed hopeless.

Pinauna siya ni Kei bago ito sumunod sa likod niya. Sabay silang lumabas at nakita niya na handa na ang lahat para umalis. Hunt's soldiers were prepared and geared up as they stood ready to embark. The rescued individuals they had saved were also prepared to move along with them.
