doesn't mean it is not awesome!" -Unknown

"Yes, I'm fine dad. And besides, if anything does happen I'm only an hour and 50 minutes away from home. And you love driving," I chuckled while connecting my airpods to my phone before putting my phone down on the drawer next to my bed.
"That is true. It's just that you're so far from me." My dad sighed. I grabbed the hanger on my bed and put my hoodie onto it.
"Dad. Don't worry. Please, you'll stress yourself out. I love you." I assured my dad.
"Okay, you're right, but if anything happens and anyone bothers you, call me." He said I chuckled and told him that I'd check in if anything does happen but I'm going to make sure nothing will happen because I'm going to stay to myself this school year.
I ended the phone call with my dad and sighed. I had to unpack the rest of my stuff and get settled in since most of my stuff was already packed thanks to my dad and Juliana. All the classes for the day were finally over, it was mainly just me being late to every single class and running around this whole building. Lupe was settling in just fine mainly because she was an extrovert but it was different for me.
"Okayy," I dragged out as I started taking my clothes out of my suitcase and putting them on hangers so I could hang them up in the closet. As I started putting my shirts on the hangers the door to the room was pulled open and in came two guys.
"You're Aurora, right?" The one with gray eyes asked. He walked towards the couch in the room and sat down on it while looking at me. Whereas the other guy didn't even spare me a glance and sat next to the guy on the couch and opened his laptop. I mean can they just walk in here?
"Yes." I replied. I didn't know what else to say so I just stared at them. "I'm Santiago and this is Kenzo." He introduced himself and his friend. I nodded my head and smiled at them before turning back around and putting my shirts onto the hangers so I could quickly put them into the closet and go see Lupe.
"So, why'd you transfer here?" I heard Santiago ask from behind me. His accent was very thick. While folding my tank tops and putting them into my drawer I turned around to look at him and now Kenzo was also looking at me. My cheeks turned a little red from the way he was looking at me so I turned around.
"Uhh, needed a fresh start. I moved here from California.," I replied and he hummed. I grabbed the framed picture on my bed and put it on my drawer stand. It was a picture of my dad and I. I grabbed the other picture that was on my bed and it was a picture of Lupe and I. I loved them so much.
The awkward quietness in the room pushed me to make conversation. "So, how is it here?" I asked while sitting down on my bed and looking over at them. Santiago set his phone down and looked at me. Kenzo just continued to look at his phone. I'm guessing he was the one who didn't speak much.
