it was the day the two had to leave japan, the boy would come in two-three weeks while she would stay in paris and have various important matches.
she was highly against the idea, not wanting to part from him but in the end she agreed with some sweet talking from him.
she was at the airport in tokyo, watching over the two luggage's as julian was further away and buying the two coffee.
when a flight from spain was announced she didn't pay much heed to who was coming through the large hall as she was looking at her phone, texting her parents that she would soon get into her flight with julian.
suddenly a shadow was in front of her and she slowly looks up, confused as to why the person didn't walk past her like everyone else.
she froze, her throat suddenly dry and her thirst for water getting more desperate.
„aurélie." the voice cuts through their silence in japanese, „what are you doing in japan?"
her eyes glance around them, julian wasn't in sight and she couldn't possibly just run away, „uh.. you know the usual."
„the usual? did you visit rin?"
she quickly shakes her head, „no! no.. i mean i did but it wasn't on purpose."
when he stared at her she craved, knowing he didn't believe her words, „fine i did see him and maybe it was on purpose but i'm not here alone.."
„with who? marié?"
she slowly shakes her head again about to answer when someone's arm brushed her own, she instantly relaxed under the touch, knowing julian was back with their coffee.
„élie, who is your friend?"
she darts her eyes between the two before looking between the two as she answers, „my ex boyfriend, sae. sae this is julian."
„is he your boyfriend now?" sae asks straight.
julian gives the boy a gentle smile as the girl took her cup and he held his free hand towards him in politeness, „i'm aurélie's boyfriend, yeah. julian loki."
he hums, not accepting his hand which made the girl feel awkward, sipping her coffee as she looks over the rim.
„itoshi. so you did visit rin. why didn't you visit me?"
she chokes on her coffee as julian pats her back gently, not seeing sae's look of slight jealousy.
„i- uh.. we.. i thought we weren't on good terms.. you know with the break up i thought you wanted some alone time." she hesitates.
he hums before leaning towards her face, not minding her boyfriend that stood next to her, „so you finally got into a national team huh? and france? you could've played for spain better."
she tensed up, her brows furrowed as she defended her decision, „hey! i live in france, it's my home now and not some country like spain."
he stares at her for a few more seconds, „be honest. did you really want to move to paris in the first place?"
she avoids eye contact which made julian curious about her answer, she harshly whispers her next words with caution, „you knew what i wanted!"
sae leans back, ignoring his manager that whispered furiously by his side, „ah yes. you wanted to come with me two years ago. you know i still have that letter that you sent me when you first moved."
„sae leave it alone! you're too late now, besides i'm not changing my mind."
he glanced at julian who stares around the various shops to give them some space, his bright teal eyes locking with her extraordinary ones, „it it never too late. we were young, we made mistakes."
she crosses her arms over her chest, her shoulder bag on her right arm as she stares at him harshly, „and you think two years ago you did something right?"
leaning forwards she uses a completely different tone that made his manager freeze in his spot, „you didn't just hurt your little brother. you hurt me as well and for that i will never forgive you. besides, you're living in madrid now, there's no point."
he noticed her eyes darken a bit and could see julian looking towards them, „you could always move with your family, bakerys are very popular in madrid as well."
she shakes her head as she sighs, „leave me alone, i'm happy with the boy i have by my side, i don't need you ruining anything."
he slowly nods his head, walking a few steps so he stood next to her before he lowers his head to the height of her ear, his voice tingling the shell and his hot breath making her unconsciously shiver.
„you'll change your mind soon enough. i'll make sure of it, estimado."
he continues to walk towards the exit without a car in his world, leaving the girl with wide eyes as she whirls her head around in pure horror.
julian came to her side with a worried look as he tapped her arm softly, „are you alright? did he say something mean or disrespectful?"
she didn't answer him as she stared at the boy with red hair, his head turning to look over his shoulder with a meaningful look in his teal eyes.
blinking a few times she turns towards the boy, opening her mouth to say something but was interrupted by the robotic voice that announced their flight.
julian took the handle of his suitcase as she did as well, the two walking towards their gate with their tickets ready.
her head was low as she stared at her own feet that were wearing her precious mary jane's.
whipping her head up and over her shoulder once more she caught a glimpse of the boy that made her live a living hell, one she wanted to die for two years ago.
quickly giving her ticket to the woman who controlled her pass and scanned the ticket she followed behind julian towards their seats, the boy putting their suitcases into the compartments above their seats as she curled up into her window seat.
she was quiet and didn't say a word the whole flight and even when the taxi driver picked the two up and drove her home.
when she was about to leave the car julian gently took her wrist, pulling her back as he gave her a reassuring smile, „it's okay if you're not ready to talk about it. i'm here for you if you need anything."
she nods her head mutely, kissing him before she closed the cap and went inside.
that was how she was for the next few hours that turned into four days.
