The library was bathed in the dim glow of candlelight, casting flickering shadows on the walls as Blanc, Red, and Chloe scoured every book and scroll they could find. Desperation hung in the air as they searched for a solution to the curse that had frozen nearly everyone in Auradon. Each page they turned only seemed to deepen their despair, and time was running out.
Blanc's mind was weighed down by thoughts of her three children and her two husbands, now frozen in time, trapped by the curse she was unable to break. The thought of never seeing them smile or hearing their voices again gnawed at her soul, driving her to keep searching even as her hope waned. Meanwhile, Red's thoughts lingered on Chloe, her girlfriend, who had been so consumed by anger and jealousy. Red wanted to help her, to pull her back from the edge before it was too late. But the weight of what they had lost, and what they might still lose, pressed heavily on her heart.
As they combed through the shelves, the door to the library suddenly burst open, and Chloe stormed in, clutching two powerful artifacts—Fairy Godmother's wand and Maleficent's scepter. Her eyes gleamed with a mix of excitement and urgency as she rushed over to where Blanc and Red were standing.
"I found these!" Chloe exclaimed breathlessly, holding out the wand and scepter as if they were the answer to all their prayers.
Blanc's eyes widened in surprise as she took the artifacts from Chloe's hands. "You actually found them," she murmured, her voice tinged with disbelief and a flicker of hope. Red moved closer, her expression a mix of curiosity and skepticism.
"Do you think they'll work?" Red asked, her tone cautious.
Blanc didn't reply immediately. Instead, she focused on Fairy Godmother's wand, holding it up as she concentrated on channeling her magic through it. She closed her eyes, summoning every ounce of her power and willing the wand to respond. A soft, golden glow began to emanate from the wand, growing brighter and more intense as Blanc focused harder.
A moment later, a pulse of magic shot out from the wand, spreading throughout the room and beyond. For a brief second, hope blossomed in Blanc's chest. But then the glow faded, and when she opened her eyes, nothing had changed. The curse still held strong.
Blanc's shoulders slumped slightly, disappointment etched into her features. "It did something," she said quietly, "but it didn't reverse the curse."
Undeterred, she turned to Maleficent's scepter, hoping that its dark magic might hold the key. She grasped the scepter tightly, feeling the raw power coursing through it as she tried to channel it. The scepter reacted, sending out a wave of dark energy that crackled through the air like lightning. The power surged outward, but just like before, the curse remained unbroken.
Blanc let out a frustrated breath, setting the scepter down on the table. "It's not enough," she admitted, her voice thick with defeat.
Red's face fell as she processed Blanc's words. "So, that's it? We're out of options?" she asked, her voice trembling slightly.
Chloe, who had been watching the whole time, sank into a chair, staring at the artifacts on the table. "If only we could travel back in time and stop all of this before it started," she muttered, her voice laced with frustration.
Red let out a long sigh, running a hand through her hair. "Yeah, if only we still had the watch," she said with resignation. "But without it..."
Blanc's eyes suddenly widened with realization. "The watch!" she exclaimed, her voice breaking through the heavy silence. Red and Chloe both turned to her, confusion and a glimmer of hope in their eyes.
"What about it?" Red asked, frowning.
Blanc stood up abruptly, nearly knocking over her chair in her excitement. "I have the watch," she said, her voice trembling with a mix of relief and anticipation.
