Erica didn't want me to leave, but after I explained the situation to her she told me to do what I thought was right. I bought a ticket, but instead of going to Amsterdam, I decided to go to Barcelona to surprise my family. That way I wouldn't be alone and thinking about my pathetic attempts at love.

06:53 am,Monday

Erica hugged me one last time before I checked my ticket and headed to the plane. I blew her an air kiss and headed forward down the corridor. I sat down in my seat and immediately put on my headphones to listen to a podcast.

A few hours later, I had already landed in Barcelona and rented a car from the airport to drive home. I parked in front and the first one to sniff me was my dog Roscoe, a Golden Retriever. He was on the porch and when he saw me he started barking with joy and running towards me. My mother came outside as soon as she heard him.
-Oh my God, my child! What a pleasant surprise!"-my mother also ran towards me. Then my father after hearing my mother also came. Grandma, Grandpa and the cousins were visiting and we all gathered around the car. They helped me unload it. After grandma made me eat a solid amount of food, I started telling everyone how my life was going. I missed the part about Nick(I didn't mention it, but that's my ex's name) and I not being together anymore. I also missed the fact that another man broke my heart in Turin. I didn't want to bother them unnecessarily and kept smiling.

I went up to my room to rest. I opened to review my social networks. The comments from strangers under my photos kept raining in. The likes on the photos as well as my followers were increasing sharply. Wow, what a job it does for a celebrity to like your photo. I rolled my eyes and left my phone on the nightstand. I didn't realize when I drifted off to sleep.

I woke up suddenly from my phone that wouldn't stop ringing. It was Erica. I picked up.
-Belle! Do you know how long I've been trying to reach you!
-Erica? What's going on? I was asleep. - I said timidly and yawned.
-'Ugh, sorry, but it's important. - Only now I felt her whisper.
-Why are you whispering? - I felt weird.
-Because someone might hear me. I'm having dinner with Tarak, but now Kenan's joining us.
-Good. They're friends after all. - I said calmly, though my heart skipped a beat when I heard his name.
-'He's not alone. - She told me.I felt my head go weightless and didn't know what to say.-Belle, are you there?
-'Mmm,' I barely spoke
-'I'm sorry. I can't believe he brought her! -He's free to do whatever he wants. - I sighed.
-There's something very rotten here. - Erica said.
-Erica ...
-Yes, I'm sorry. Is everything okay with you? Are you gonna be okay without me?
I laughed lightly. - Sure. - I reassured her.
-I miss you already. Text me tomorrow. I want to know what you're doing.
-I love you, Erica. - I said and rang the phone.

I felt better and better, surrounded by my most favorite people. I spent a lot of time with them. I helped Mom in the studio until noon, and then I stayed with Dad in the gallery. I read 10 books in 1 month and went to pilates almost every day. I took care of myself and now I really felt fulfilled. I would even say cured of any love torment.

I heard from Erica every day - she was still in Turin because she had a real crush on Tarak

I heard from Erica every day - she was still in Turin because she had a real crush on Tarak. I hadn't communicated with Kenan since we met at the hotel. He hadn't even tried to make contact. That helped me get rid of all thoughts of him.

Dad and I were at the gallery, checking to make sure everything was in order. As we walked he asked me a strange question that seemed to come out of nowhere.
-"Belle, what do you think of Turin?-
-A beautiful city, full of art and charged with positive emotion. - I answered him most frankly.
-See ... You can say no to me, but I decided to ask you anyway - would you take over the gallery I am about to open there?
-You mean ... to live there?-
-I know I'm asking too much of you, dear. And I know your university is in Amsterdam. But watching you over the years, I realise you're the only person I'd trust with my gallery there.
-Oh, Daddy!' he was very sweet and I hugged him tightly.

Now it was time to make a fateful decision.
